Our daughter Katie brought us to this place for dinner again while visiting her in Cincinnati. Once again, it was an excellent Mexican dining experience starting with the chips and salsa made fresh and inviting. All but myself ordered chimichanga queso sauce Spanish rice. Being my daughter and her husband’s favorite, my wife followed suit. She and the two were delighted with their selection. I ordered the Enchilada Tapatias
Five enchiladas: one beef, chicken, cheese, pork and beans. Topped with lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes. It was out of this world with the red sauce covering it all!

2/20/26 Both baskets brought to our table of the complimentary chips were all way overcooked, dark brown, hard, very unpleasant. Service was terribly slow, zero follow-up’s, not even busy that night, multiple (5) servers standing/leaning around watching the big screen TV’s instead of tending tables. Had to track down our server for waters, salsa, etc. We got extra napkins ourselves at the waiter station. Management was non existent. Then there was a male child tending the host station, not sure that’s legal. Foods just ok, kind of like cafeteria food, most sides were very watered down and had a paste like consistency. Average was about $22 for dinner entrees. Thanks.

Great food. Got the chorizo cheese dip and it’s amazing. The California Burrito was full of flavor and the steak wasn’t chewy. Family got chimichanga’s and a Fajita. Everything was excellent.

Will never give this place my business again. When we got there we were treated as if we were not welcomed. It felt like we were stereotyped and discriminated against. The server was rude and short with us. He never came back to our table after the food was dropped off. The food was comparable to tacos at taco bell. If you want great service and food head down to El Barril at 1101 Front St, New Richmond, OH 45157

Do NOT order the steak. Had a picky eater with me order from the “American Fare” portion of the menu. I wasn’t expecting much, but what we received was laughable and it cost $20. My food was dry and flavorless. The service was excellent though and the atmosphere made it an somewhat enjoyable experience.

We went when busy. I ordered chicken fajitas, with salad beans and rice. I thought the fajitas were rather dry and bery lightly seasoned.

Don Rigo’s was delicious. Been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area and surrounding and this is top 3. Their salsa was perfect. Had a nice touch of spice. We had the tacos de carne asada and burrito and enchilada combo. They were both delicious. We also ordered a banana and strawberry margarita. They weren’t as “slushy” as I would’ve liked but they were still nice and strong.

So when we went on vacation to Ohio and me and my partner ate here and yeah the food was great but the waiter we had was amazing. This was in October and I just think about him from time to time. I hope he has a good night. We had the best time and he made our night great ya know? If we ever find ourselves in Ohio again, will for sure be coming back. I wish I knew his name. He deserves everything good in the world to happen to him.

Great flavor and service. If anyone says all Mexican restaurants are the same clearly have not been here. The California Burrito (steak) was HUGE and had so much flavor, especially with the green sauce on top. The Chimichanga Don Rigo was a hit. One of us got it with chicken and the other with steak and both were excellent. The chicken fajitas were a big hit too. The chicken was seasoned just right. The chorizo cheese dip had just the right amount of heat.
