A decent little Mexican place. The sever never smiled and must have been having a bad day and was over worked. We felt so bad for her.

I did no cheese on my dish and it came out just fine. Very yummy! I liked this better then the other Mexican food in town and prices here were slightly better.

On return trips by my friends they say service was way better.

first time here, and it was a very nice experience, the drinks were great, the bar area is festive, not boring. I got the street tacos which were ok, but the fried ice cream was the best. bartenders were all wonderful and were attentive. i went on trivia night so i got to meet a bunch of people! i will be back again 🙂

My friend group has been doing Taco Tuesday pretty much weekly for the past 2 years, and this is the Best Taco Tuesday deal we’ve found in Southern NH so far in terms of ingredient quality and taste. 2$ hard shell- fillings include Ground Beef, Shredded Beef, Beef Tip, Shredded Chicken and Beef and Cheese. Will definitely be going back this Tuesday.

Excellent traditional style Mexican food. Way better all around than the other place in town which is more Tex-Mex. The tortilla soup and margaritas were awesome. Great salsa and the chips were warm. Good portions and service as well.

Once we were seated, our drinks and food came out (legitimately) lightening fast and was fantastic! Server was friendly and attentive. Drinks and food delicious.

Great outdoor dining experience vast menu and the food is delicious. While we’ve seen other restaurants raise their prices consistently month to month and serve less. Don Ramon has continued to serve plentiful portions without gouging the customers.

We have lived in Merrimack almost 30 years so stopping in was inevitable at some point. Tried it once when they first opened. Hard no.

Tried it a few months later and was worse.

I think “Mexican food” in New Hampshire has been bastardized thanks to La Caretta. Chips and salsa is just a gimmick…Nothing authentic, nothing fresh…All the La Carettas, Don Ramon, El Tapetio, Mi Jalisco are all sharing mostly the same menus. Why? Because they all can be tracked back to employees, owners, bartenders all coming from LA Caretta, which is the “original” hardly authentic Mexican spot that thrived in this quality restaurant desert, that is New Hampshire. It became incestuous; meaning the employees would jump ship to work or own the offshoot restaurants. Theres drama involved between ownership and if they had any level of self awareness or a business sense, they’d “break away from the mold” and do something fast casual or even like El Colima did in Nashua before deciding to move to the one way Pearl Street with little parking, back befire they mailed it in. It WAS the most authentic you could find with its braised shanks, Mexican desserts and other goodies not found on menus around the state. Its just too easy to open these things and even easier to just let them close; its crap compared to real Mexican dishes and a shame.

Carlos, and assuming a lot know who I am referring to was the only shining light on these dumps. Could run a whole establishment by himself, tending bar. He is missed [heard he was in Concord Nh last I knew], but he pretty much opened all of these…maybe the exception being Colima?

Anyways. The only one that gets my business is Los Primos when we are in the mood, as it had a Colima chef at one point, but not sure anymore.

Even the Mexican place in Amherst, Monarquia, which was awesome when it opened, sold to owners of Jalisco and have ruined it with their crap food, lousy servers and lack of anything resembling solid Mexican food.

unfortunately the overall environment of this restaurant was so horrific that the food even though it was adverg it could not be enjoyed. Are waiter did not write anything down and forgot are drinks and chips not to mention he did not put in our food but instead of having the food be cooked immediately when he forgot it we had to wait another 20 minutes to overall we have been waiting for 60 a quite awful wait time. Overall if you are in the area I would recommend another Mexican place like El tapatio which I think is a great place if you would like Mexican food. Although he did bring us refill for our drinks. And the place was clean which was nice.
