Welcome to Don Pepe’s Mexican Grill, a new and authentic Mexican restaurant in Franklin, Tennessee. Our parent restaurant has been serving the Columbia community since August 2013. We have a full-service restaurant, bar, outdoor patio, and offer carryout, and catering. We are an independently owned restaurant. Extremely disappointing experience.
We are regular customers at Don Pepe’s (usually the Columbia location) and even use the rewards program, so this was especially frustrating.
First, I ordered choriqueso and was brought something completely different. He brought me queso furdido. I said and pointed at choriqueso on the menu though and he even confirmed it. It took 20 minutes to come out. When I mentioned it, I was told they could “just heat it up,” but the consistency was completely wrong …it was watery, not dip consistency at all. I had to literally spoon it instead of dip it.
Second, we were charged for items we never received. We were charged for tortillas that never came to the table. My Coke was also charged twice, even though refills are supposed to be free. My husband was also charged tortillas with his all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, which makes no sense. He only ordered twice tortillas and got charged 4 times.
The server did not initially bring us a receipt and processed the charge at the table. Only after reviewing the receipt did we notice the double charges.
Between the incorrect food, poor quality appetizer, long wait time, and being charged for items we never received, this felt extremely dishonest and careless.
Very disappointed. We will not be returning…..

If I could give 10 starts I would ! Don Pepe’s is an amazing place to eat! The service is always welcoming, attentive, and quick. We ordered Margarita and boy do they hit the spot!!. The food is always delicious, fresh, and full of authentic Mexican flavor. I had the Camarones Cucarachos and honestly I have never had them better anywhere else!. The atmosphere is comfortable and family-friendly, which makes every visit enjoyable. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants!. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and great service.

We have used Don Pepe’s catering for our annual event for the past 2 years and every time the food and service is amazing! Taco bar was spectacular, something for everyone. And churros for dessert were a huge hit. Thank you Don Pepe’s for another great banquet meal!

We showed up at 6:30 on a Friday with 25 people and didn’t expect to be seated but really wanted to try this place out. The owner said he would make it happen and we were seated with chips and salsa in front of us within 10 minutes! The food came fast and was so good. Our drinks were never empty. The service was AMAZING! Plus the food was so good! We are from out of town but anytime we’re in Franklin we’ll come by!

Pretty decent food, Laughable table service. I ordered a diverse taco option for four double flour with four different meats. The first order I received was completely incorrect and I just thought my proteins were shredded together for some odd reason and I’d made a terrible dining choice as far as quality but luckily one of the servers caught the mistake just as I was going to dig in and then provided the correct order which was much better. The chorizo was actually some of the best I’ve ever had, texture as well as flavor and the sauce provided was a perfect blend of heat and creaminess. Other than that while I was eating the crew managed to serve another table the wrong order and at that point I almost ordered a mixed drink because obviously, the bar is pretty good. The price is a little high, especially for not having female waitresses and the dining area is casual and festive.

Service was ok, the horrible part of it all is being vegan & finding meat in my vegetarian (made vegan) fajitas. Appetite completely ruined, I examined it over & over & broke it down to make sure I seen it correctly ♀️ not much to be done when you done already took the leftovers home and ate two fajitas & no telling how much meat thinking it was vegetables.

When it comes to Mexican food, I am picky, but this place is fabulous. They do not drown your food in sauce, the servers are friendly. They really look like they enjoy being there. Everything on the menu is delicious. I haven’t had anything yet that wasn’t fantastic. I always ask the servers what their recommendations are, and every time, I’m not disappointed.

We started eating at Don Pepe’s in Franklin every since they first opened. This past Friday, we had tickets for a concert at Franklin Theater and decided to eat at Don Pepe’s rather than downtown Franklin ($$$).
They have a new seafood dish – Camarones Ala Diabla. My husband said it was the best Diaba sauce he has ever had, including at Italian restaurants. The flavor of the Diaba sauce is so delicious that you crave more of it. It is very spicy and delicious.
I had the Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo, which is a Mexican version of Shrimp Scampi – shrimp in butter, garlic sauce. It was simply delicious and I can’t wait to have it again.
Previously, I’ve had excellent tamale, seafood tacos, shrimp tacos, and Chile Verde – all excellent, cooked perfectly.
The staff is happy, well trained, and so friendly. They privide quick, courteous service in a spotless, clean environment.

This is a very good Mexican restaurant with a huge menu of offerings at reasonable prices. The tortilla chips brought to the table were plentiful and nice and crispy and everything we ordered tasted really good.
