We came across this by accident. We went in around 10pm and there was a line out the door, so you knew the place was going to be good and it did not disappoint. I got the barbacoas sopitos and my husband had the enchiladas pollo with rice and beans. We also both got the mango drink. I loved the sopitos – the thick corn mesa tortilla (more like the thickness of a naan or pita bread) balanced the bbq out well – simple and delicious. The mango drink was just the perfect level of sweetness. Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Oh my heck!!! I was across the street to buy a car, and so hungry…we looked across the HWY and there it was! It looked busy and the size of the establishment looked big…so we ran to it!!! Wow! We were not expecting what happened next! As soon as we arrived inside we were greeted by the most cheerful duo of ladies who you could tell loved working there! We were greeted so kindly like we were the only patrons they had all day…But it was packed!! Everything we asked for, they did and were not even fazed when my associate asked for just “a fish” or when I asked if I could have cheese put on the top of my rice! They let us taste the specialty drinks they offered before letting us make a decision… as if it was common practice! They made us feel appreciated that we were there! So wonderful…so engaging…so Delicious!!! Wow, wow, wow!!! What are you waiting for???? Just go!!! Loved it…

First of all the tacos are excellent. They’re small though. I don’t eat a lot and I could probably throw 4 to 5 of these down. I’m already craving more.

You order at the counter then go to your table. There is no real service.

It’s an open dining area but with your typical Mexican restaurant pics and music.

I’ve been coming to Don Pedro for many years. About 13 years. I’m not going to write too much about this restaurant but by far this is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve experienced. Great flavor. I recommend the chicken quesadillas with a side of rise and beans. Very affordable

Very tasty Mexican food is available here. We went here for lunch for the first time. Beef stew is my favorite food here because of the soft meat. The crowd was not much by the time we went. Food was available shortly after ordering. There is a parking facility in front of the restaurant. We would like to come here again.

I’ve been a regular at this place, enjoying the food, until yesterday. What should have been a great meal turned into a nightmare when I found a metal pin hidden in the green avocado sauce. That’s not just disappointing; it’s a serious safety issue!
I immediately flagged it to the manager, hoping for some accountability. Instead, she barely acknowledged it, didn’t even come over to look at the pin herself. Just told me to leave it on the counter so she could toss it, like it was no big deal. Zero concern for food safety or how this could have hurt someone. I get that mistakes happen, but the total lack of care in handling it? Unacceptable.

This has completely turned me off. Won’t be back, and I’d advise anyone reading this to think twice. Fix your processes and train your staff better!

I couldn’t eat because all the food is extremely salty. Not just little, but it is not edible at all.
So sad. Don Pedro was not like this before.

I’ve been coming to Don Pedro multiple times throughout the year and usually enjoy the food, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing due to the cashier, Kathy.

I had placed my order over the phone and came in to pay. Kathy was at the register helping other customers, but when it was my turn, she suddenly walked away from her station. She had just helped two people in front of me, and then the customer behind me was helped by another cashier, while I was left standing there until I had to call someone over just to pay for my food.

After finally paying, I sat down and waited patiently, but I noticed two people who came in after me received their food first. I continued waiting, thinking maybe the kitchen was just busy. After about 20 minutes, I went to ask about my order, and that’s when Kathy grabbed my bag from the pickup shelf where it had clearly been sitting for a while. No one had called my name or let me know my food was ready.

I told her politely that since it had been sitting there, I didn’t want cold nachos and would prefer a fresh order. She said something in Spanish to the cook, had it remade, and handed it to me without saying a single word no apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. She was friendly and polite to other customers, telling them to have a nice day, but completely ignored me and acted as if I was the problem.

I’ve supported this restaurant for a long time, but this experience was frustrating and disrespectful. Management needs to train their staff, especially cashiers like Kathy, on how to treat all customers with the same respect not just certain ones.
