Don Ole Mexican Restaurant is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Highland Illinois.
The food tastes very authentic. The size portions are large, and no matter how busy the restaurant is, the food is always served in a timely manner.
The wait staff are very kind, efficient, and attentive to your dining needs.
The main dining room is quite large and is filled with a mixture of booths and tables. The decorations, pictures, and statues are fun. The restaurant is generally busy. When there are a lot of kids, the restaurant can have a lot of background noise.
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is parking on both sides of the restaurant. The location is easy to find and centrally located.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place in Highland. Nice friendly staff and overall cool little place. The food is ok, I prefer alot of spices and they are just mild at best, that’s the reason for the four stars instead of 5. I’ve been to this place a couple of times and will most likely visit again when I feel like Mexican food and in the area.
