We got the alambre with 1/2 chicken and 1/2 al pastor and the pollo poblano and it was delicious! Service was excellent. We just moved here from Arizona and it’s been hard to find good Mexican food here, but this place hits the spot! We’ll definitely be back again ☺️

The first time I was their the food was delicious.. had 5 t.acos… service was great priced little high but ok .. 2nd time a was there service sucked.. food was horrible . And was absolutely over priced . And the music was way too loud and not of the mexican culture…was disappointed but might give it one more chance if in the area.

We hadn’t been to Don Julio’s in years. We were greeted at the door and taken to a booth right away. Our server was at our table as soon as we had removed our coats, and the complementary chips and salsa were delivered immediately. When my shrimp tacos lunch was delivered, my eyes went wide open at the size of the serving. The tacos were fresh, the shrimp was freshly grilled and hot, and the rice was a great accompaniment.
My wife had the fish tacos and was equally pleased. We’ll be back to try more of their menu.

I have been coming here for years now, and honestly liked the food and prices but after this debacle I’m probably never going to eat here again. My mistake I made was making a online transaction through their website. While they allowed for my transaction to go through during normal business hours I found myself without food as I drove to the location and they had closed early or never open idk. Now they won’t simply refund my money and have to go through the process of disputing it with my bank. Great food but make sure your going in person to make an order because who knows if you will get it otherwise.

This is my favorite Mexican ️ Restaurant so far here in Minnesota. Recommend. The service is excellent , the food is delicious , the environment is welcoming and the prices are affordable. You can see in my profile that I had tried many Mexican restaurants that are very good but Don Julio at White Bear Lake is my favorite.

This place is great! The drinks were amazing and the food was too! I ordered the chimichanga specialty plate, one chicken and one beef and the flavors were so on point! The rice and beans were delicious too! I also ordered a drink that came with a shaker full of more drink! This place is perfectly priced and great quality food. Also ordered the churros and omg! They were absolutely delicious!

My husband & I spent the majority of our lives in So Cal & Arizona. We were fortunate enough to have some of the best mexican food in the US, with the culture weaved into our daily lives. Moving to WI, we struggled to find the same. We finally found an authentic mexican restaurant. The food was so good & the staff was friendly & attentive. I am so willing to drive the 30 mins it took us to get there. Thank you for the great food!!

Food is just ok but the service is awful. We had an issue with one of our meals and when we brought it to the attention of our server she just kept saying, “I don’t know. It’s not my job. It’s not my fault.” She kept arguing about how it wasn’t her fault. She could have handled it in a completely different way but it was clear that she didn’t care. No apology, no offer to make it right, no offer to bring something else. Just defensiveness and full of attitude. Then the cook came out of the kitchen and stood at the bar talking to our server and another employee. They all kept looking over at our table. It was obvious that they were talking about us but no one would come over to our table and address it. That’s pretty rude. We were polite and tried to explain the situation to her but she couldn’t have cared less and she didn’t try to hide it either. I will never eat here again. What a terrible way to treat your customers.
