Wow!! All I can say is this must be a hidden gem because it was amazing and I have never heard of it before. Neither had our friends and they actually live in Mabank.
We were so pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it was, how super friendly & helpful the employees were ~ especially Eliam. He just answered all our questions with a smile.
I had the taco salad, my hubby had the combo plate and our friends both had the special of the day ~ a burrito plate. Yummy yummy to all of them!
I would rate them 10/10!!

Taco Thursday. It’s a great deal on 5 tacos. I forgot to take a picture before I started eating. I have never had a problem here.
Nice group of workers. Manager always greets me with a smile and welcome me to his restaurant.
I have been here more than 10 times. Always clean and so are the bathrooms.

I’m very sceptical of Mexican food East of New Mexico but Don Juan’s is VERY good and unbelievably priced. We got the Monday special, 2 enchiladas, a taco, rice and beans (wife got the chips and guacamole instead of beans) for $6.99!.. and it was delicious.

Most of mgrs are great, as is personnel. But blonde Mgr believes mopping floors is more important than serving hot meals to drive thru. Last Saturday I waited 14 min while clerk had to mop floor. My beans were ice cold, cheese enchiladas were not even warm, and chili luke warm. Couldn’t heat meal because on Styrofoam plate. I live 2 blocks from restaurant, but blonde, female Mgr is the worst. Forgets your hot sauce now 3 times and could care less about customers. Rest of staff is wonderful to me. Hope blonde Mgr quits soon!!!!

Don Juan’s has left me extremely dissatisfied. I made an order for 24 tamales, but unfortunately, they turned out to be watery and greasy with no other flavors, and they were served at room temperature. Additionally, the cheese fries were only half cooked. The quality was so poor that I could only manage to eat two tamales. Even the cinnamon strips were lacking, as there were only 5 strips. It’s disappointing because I had previously received an outstanding food delivery from them. Perhaps I will give them another chance in a few months.

Food was extremely gross. Seems 3 people were in charge of getting our order wrong then the owner wanted to argue about it while blaming my wife. From reading the other unsatisfied reviews “accountability” seems to be a big issue here. On top of that the food was very nasty I can’t say that enough. Waste of time and money.
