I was in town for a work event and was in the mood for Mexican food so I decided to try Don Juan’s. Got take out and it was packaged up nice and was still hot and fresh when I got back to my hotel. Chicken, steak, n shrimp with queso and rice n veggies was a great choice!

I can’t tell you how long I’ve been going to Don Juan’s. I’m a lexington native originally but live a county away now. It’s a 40 minute drive but we still go every so often. The chimichanga is still one of the best I ever had with beef tips as well as the cheese dip. Not a long wait for a Thursday evening at 6pm. A party of 4 was taken right back as the parking lot was getting full. Parking is okay if it’s not one of those really busy evenings where you may have to wait. Don’t come at 7 and expect to get a seat right away if it’s Friday or Saturday just saying from experience. Located a couple miles from I85 and the business loop but not terrible if your traveling just worth the little few minutes.

If it wasn’t about the hair on my food, I’d have given 5 stars. I was enjoying my meal until I found a small short hair on the tomato. I told the server, he didn’t understand. But I told the other server, he apologized, I didn’t need apology, so I told him to tell everyone in the kitchen to wear hairnet. but everything aside. Food was delicious. They just have to be more careful when they prepare each dish.

Have gotten food poisoning twice here. I hate it too because this used to be my favorite place Dr said the sanitation must be pretty bad. Second hospital visit in a year. Both times. I ate here. I hope they get it under control. But I know I won’t be back.

My wife loves the ACP texicana. We always get take out though; so cant speak from eat in service experience however they are prompt when I call and usually ready to pick up at the time alloted. Food is always fresh and delicious Highly Recommended!!

The place was pretty busy, we were seated right away. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The salsa that came to our table was kid friendly which was awesome since I had a 3 year old with me. The food came out extremely fast and was fresh tasting. The waitress we had offered us drinks to go which was nice considering it was 98F that day. I would definitely go back here with my family.

I went to Don Juan’s with my husband. He ordered his usual and I decided I just wanted beef and bean nachos. I told the waiter what I wanted. When they brought out our order, I had nachos with minimal cheese and only beans. I’m like, where’s the beef? So, the waiter brings out a bowl of beef and sits it beside me. Instead of remaking it. Anyway, I put the beef on the nachos because I don’t like to complain. My husband noticed my look of disappointment. He said I can’t watch you look that way. He says to the waiter, she needs cheese on those nachos. (I only had beans and beef at this point. Not enough cheese because he did not bring out the correct nachos). So he brings me a small cheese bowl. I put it on my so called nachos. (They were cold by the time I got to actually start eating them). Well, we finished and the guy brings out the bill. My husband pays as I stand back. I have no idea the price at this point. When we got home, I asked how much was the bill, he said $37! I’m like, what?!? He said that’s with the tip. Well, my nachos were suppose to be $7.59. He charged me extra for the beef and the cheese. It was an additional $7. We paid for his screw up. Pretty much $15 for beef and bean nachos. I’m so aggravated. I’ve had problems before but I always let it slide. I’m disappointed with this whole situation. I can’t remain silent.

To be fair, all we ordered was a plate of nachos and a couple of beers. But the nachos were kind of awful and covered with iceberg lettuce and some “cheese” type of product. The salsa tasted like it came out of a jar.
