I had an early dinner at Don Jose’s Mexican restaurant in Forrest City. I love the painted furniture–it is beautiful! I had the vegetarian plate with tostada, burrito and enchilada. And a nice cold beer. Everything tasted good, portions were average. My food could have been a little hotter. My server, Arturo, was excellent, very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is convenient to hotels nearby. I would definitely eat here again.

Visited here while traveling for vacation. Simon was attentive and delightful. Ordered 1/2 nachos but the sauce turned the entire plate into a soup and all the chips were soggy. They were so great and understanding about it. The brisket enchilada was delicious!

Stopped here on a cross country trip. Was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The food was moderately price, but the portions were large. I got the chicken quesadilla and it was awesome! My wife got the rolled tacos and she loved them. Definitely would stop here for a bite. I’d skip the hotel lol they’re just renting the space so don’t judge them by the crappy hotel! 10/10 would recommend

The lady that answer the phone I was trying to tell her to add some food onto my order and instead of her saying OK thank you she didn’t say anything and gonna hang up the phone on me because she has an attitude then rushing to order my food. Everything else was amazing. The food was great and the lady at the front desk was pretty nice.

I have to be honest. If you’re from Texas and used to good Mexican food, you will be very disappointed in this restaurant as I was. The white queso was AMAZING. However that was the only thing. Rice and beans were bland. The salsa tasted like there was basil and oregano in it. The enchilada sauce didn’t really taste like enchilada sauce. The service was great, no complaints.

My family and I will always support this wonderful place. We have been coming here off and on for nearly 20yrs, and in all of those years ive never once had bad food. They treat you like family, their service is impeccable, their food is always cooked thoroughly and seasoned perfectly, and the atmosphere is full of regulars and newcomers alike. I will forever be grateful to the owner and his family for blessing our corner of Arkansas with great food and even better friendship.
(Favorite Dishes: Don Jose Burrito, Chicken or Beef tacos, Chicken Chimichanga, Chicken and Rice, and lastly their Enchiladas with red sauce and cheese sauce. LASTLY YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR SALSA VERDE!)
Their Sodas are great and their Cheese Dip is the best around!

On the road and stopped in, amazing salsa… Alejandro who took us to our table was phenomenal. His suggestion, attention to our order, checking in on us to see if we needed everything while doing his job… that type of customer service is unheard-of. Highly recommend

I thought the food here was very good. Everyone was very welcoming. Portions are large and the prices are good. Chips and salsa were also tasty, and so is the queso!
