The food was extremely good but pricey. One Burrito without anything else, $15.00. My bill for 2 people and 2 mixed drinks amounted to $85.00. That included my 20% tip though. All in all it is a nice place to eat even though the waiter got a little bit of an attitude when we asked for more salsa 2-3 times. What can I say in my my defense…I like their salsa, OK! LOL!

Whenever we want great Mexican food we always go to Don Cucos they have the best salads with homemade croutons. Had a beef taco, black beans and rice and a strawberry margarita. Not great. Mole for the enchiladas was sweet. Really sweet and it was odd tasting. The table salsa was from a can or tasted like it anyway. margarita was good and service was excellent. Too bad the food was sub par. With all the good Mexican food around here it’s unlikely we’ll be back. It isn’t the worst mexican food but with the choices you have in SoCal it might as well be. I don’t know how this place has such a rating other than we caught them on a bad day. Check it out for yourself but for me, the food did not cut it

We literally fly here from Arizona to eat at Don Cucos. At this location…Jorge in the bar is fantastic. We had a house salad with ranch – just do it. And then it’s the basics from there – shredded beef tacos, red chili. Seriously, get a taco. If we could, we’d bring Cucos to AZ in a heartbeat.

Pictured is the chili relleno combination and the Carne asada plate with chesse enchilada and combination. The Horchata is delish. Food comes out fast and hot.
