Don Chuy Mexican Restaurant is a great spot, especially if you’re craving Mexican food. So far, my favorite item has been the Loaded Nachos — and when I say loaded, I really mean it. The plate came stacked with tortilla chips, beans, rice, cheese, asada, chicken, and shrimp, making it filling and packed with flavor.

My brother and I come here when we grab lunch together. He knows Mexican food is one of my favorites, so this has become one of our go-to spots. It’s a nice mom-and-pop style restaurant with a welcoming feel.

The employees provide great customer service and are always helpful, which makes the experience even better. Overall, this is a solid place to eat, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more items.

Don Chuy’s serves 100% authentic Mexican food.

The very professional and friendly servers make you feel like at home.

Our favorite dishes are, al pastor burrito, caldo de pollo and the menudo. Don’t waste your time looking for another one, stop by Don Chuy, you won’t regret it.

1st time here, ordered green chilaquiles plate (with eggs rice and beans) and steak on the side with no drink. Food was good but the price of it disappointed me. $26 ‍♂️ have not tried anything else but hope to soon, I just gotta hope it ain’t expensive like this order. If I was broke I’d say that but nope, i just believe they got me on this one on the $. Over priced for an order like that, careful now ✌ not fair on price that’s all.

Nice quiet little Mexican restaurant. The food portions are good. The taste is delicious. I tried the Huevos con Chorizo. Its was really good …next time I’ll be sure to ask them not to add the onions and tomatoes that were also scrambled in. Great place.. I’ll be back.

I actually wanted birria.

However, after looking at the menu, I changed to the Wet Burrito.

It was huge! Enough for 2 meals.

And oh so tasty! The shredded beef was perfectly tender.

Be sure to ask for extra cheese and a side of guacamole.

I also got a carne asada taco ala carte. Which was equally good.

I’m born and raised in Wilmington Ca so I’ve eaten Mexican Food my whole life.. Don Chuy in Bellflower is something special.. The flavor and taste of the meals is what brings myself and family back .. I recently had a Relative return home from the Pacific Northwest for a visit last Thursday and he was raving and bragging to his wife about the Mexican Restaurants he missed and as he named older places in the South Bay and Harbor Area we would call GO TO or Frequent most often I shook my head and said Follow me to Bellflower.. He said BELLFLOWER? I had to be honest.. Nostalgia? yeah plenty of spots in Wilmington and Carson but taste and good Abuelita Type meals? DON CHUY family .. needless to say His family and guests had never ever had Mexican Food that good.. It was Thursday 1pm and they had to still drive back down to San Diego after.. Just to see their faces after the 1st bite was priceless.. Needless to say I had to take two Enchilada plates home for my Wife and daughter but it the family feel and memories for us that Don Chuy’s brings up in our hearts..

Reasonable prices, good food. Small place with not that many tables and from the looks of it it gets packed on Sunday. Very accommodating to special requests.

The best menudo in SoCal, plenty of awesome tasty fully cooked soft meat, fresh handmade corn tortillas.
Their burritos mojados are deliciously huge.
They need to work on a better cup of coffee…. Un cafe-de-olla would be awesome Don Chuy!

I love this place, this is my new go to place they have a little bit of everything…every time I go I get their delicious menudo! Tortillas echas a mano is the best…I also tried their chilaquiles and they were delicious, all their food is home made and remembers me of my great grandmas cooking. I fully recommend this place to anyone looking for good authentic Mexican food, I also chatted along with don chuy and his wife, very humble people… 10/10 for me, ny wife loves it.
