Absolutely loved this place! I have been to Japan several times and felt transported there during my meal. I loved the decor and the food was delicious with huge portions. We opted to come early after reading so many reviews about the long waits. Right at 11:00 there were no other people waiting but by the time we left around 12:15 it was starting to fill up. We had excellent service. After, we looked at the museum which was similar to museums we have seen in Japan as well. It was really nice and I am so impressed at how closely everything was to Japan!! 10/10

A little taste of Japan. Restaurant decorations has a knack for transferring you back in time to the country side of Japan. Food tastes authentic and the drink choices could use more broadening. When visiting keep in mind you could be seated outside but even indoors its a bit chilly with all its doors outside open. Apparently this place has gotten popular due to social media so prepare for a wait as food is never rushed and made fresh. Really liked this place and made me miss Japan.

This is an absolute gem in the middle of downtown Denver. It was such a cultural experience dining in such traditional Japanese decor and gardens. They are only serving 20 at a time but it is worth the wait. The food was delicious, and very affordable at $16 per plate with big portions. The staff were incredible and we loved our experience. We will definitely be back to experience Domo again.

We got here and were looking forward to experiencing everything that everyone had been talking about only to find out that it has been closed. It’s sad that the owner didn’t restructure the place to meet the demand as it relates to the food. My take is that the owner should reconsider, and with parameters, reopening this place and setting limits on the number of dishes served in order to keep the highest quality of food. Hoping that he finds it in him someday, while still alive, to continue to share his food with many that clearly miss this place.

Super solid! Japanese friend recommended this place to us, the food was tasty, service was great (albeit a little slow since they were quite busy), and the offerings were quite reasonably priced. Seems like a pretty popular restaurant, might have to wait sometimes. If you’re in the area, this place and the Japanese garden outside will not disappoint!

Great place to experience! Food was amazing and and service was fast. When visiting here you must eat outside in the garden as it is apart of the experience and is amazing! Make sure you shown up early or you will have to wait. It is first come first server and the wait can be long as the restaurant is only open Friday-Sunday.

This place was so, so cool – I can’t wait to go back already. The atmosphere is very welcoming and has beautiful displays of traditional Japanese architecture and design. It’s got a really cool museum in the back, and the garden is quite nice – I hope to eat in the garden when I go back.

This place is good and the atmosphere is great. They don’t take reservations and currently only serving 20 people at a time. Sign-ups for your party are on a sheet inside. Typical wait was an hour and a half to two. The food is pretty good and all main dishes are just below $16. The unagi omelette was super good!

The food and overall experience was amazing. I felt like I was in another country. My spicy vegetarian ramen was the best I’ve ever had. We also had two warm sakes and the Japanese curry which was also very delicious. I really enjoyed the immersive experience and the amazingly good food.
