This Domino’s Pizza location has kind folks. The food is tasty and warm. Unfortunately, they only slice the pizza properly about 6 out of ten times. I know they have to move fast, but this is so annoying, especially since I have called more than once and politely asked them to pay attention and actually slice the pizza all the way through.

Boy, I sure am hungry. Decided to get pizza. Or so I thought. Ordered my food at 7:14 and it supposedly was only going to take 20 to 25 minutes. It left Dominos at 7:40. After a phone call at 8:04 I attempted to tell the driver where I live with detailed instructions. Make one turn off hwy 17, that’s it. Waiting patiently for lights down my driveway and at 8:15 I get another phone call with the driver telling me he’s totally lost. It takes a grand total of 10 minutes to drive from my house to James city. By the time he finally gets to me it would have been sitting in that bag for over 40 minutes. I told him to just take the cold food back and throw it in the trash.

We’ve been ordering from Domino’s in James City for a while now, but tonight, the customer service was shocking. I called in one pizza to pick up in a 30 minute time frame and when I arrived it wasn’t in the system. The cashier said she remembered taking my order, but never took my name, so I was unsure what happened. She said she was new and needed help. I understand and was willing to wait for my pizza, but she didn’t know how to enter the order and when asking another employee for help, no one would assist. She then began cursing and walked out. I asked if anyone could take my order and I was told they didn’t have time with a rude tone. Customer service is a big deal and I will not return to this location.

I like their online ordering option. When checking out choose the option to go in to carry out. They need a better system or at least designated parking spaces for car delivery. With other businesses in the same parking lot how would they know which cars are there for pizza? I chose that option one time so I’m speaking from experience. If you do choose that option calling the store upon arrival helps. All the menu items are as described. I also like the pizza sauce base options they give you. Their traditional marinara and robust tomato sauses are, meh ok my favorite is the garlic parmesan sauce. My toppings chicken, spinach, black olives and feta, mwah delicious . Their wings aren’t the greatest but a good variety of flavors. I prefer naked wings, which is not an option fyi.
