Ok so after an 8 hour drive today we decided to try Dolly’s. Wow so food is good the fried chicken was well prepared and tasty. The service on the other hand was non existence. No greeting at the door no pick a table or here let me show you a table. However a snide response when asked if we could get a seat. Ordered the chicken dinner 3 for me 2 for the wife(leg and thigh no leg) then were told so sorry nothing we can do kitchen is closed 30 minutes before close. As a traveler I will never make the mistake of returning here. I would strongly recommend you avoid it also.

Went to this restaurant because of a blog’s recommendation. We were on our way to Fort Kent and tried the food here. Service was fast. The blt, ployes and steak poutine were awesome! Ordered seafood platter, didn’t expect the fake scallops. But everything was good! We missed ordering the chicken stew but will be back for it!

I don’t know who the cook is but they have no business being one. I have been there 4 times and it has gotten worse each time! To say that a fish burger “grilled” comes out as a burnt hamburger bun with two deep fried fish sticks that were not cooked through. How do you mess that up? Chicken sandwich for my friend was so crispy that it had no taste. I complained to the waitress, who never came back to ask how everything was during the meals, about this and she said I’ll go tell the cook. She actually didn’t want to cash us out because of her embarrassment for the food? I paid for it and gave her a tip despite it all. Never will my shadow fall on the door step again.

I usually love this place and recommend it to anyone who tells me they’re going up to the valley. I went over the weekend while attending the Acadian Festival in Madawaska to get some chicken stew and ployes. The ployes were great but it didn’t seem like there was any chicken in the stew besides a few strands of meat here and there, it was pretty disappointing. Hopefully next time I visit the area, it’ll be different.

Place is hotter inside then it is outside and it’s almost 90 degrees outside. every time I order a sandwich they always put something on it that I ask them not to. Locals swear by this place but it’s definitely let me down.

If you are ordering the leg and thighs, chicken dinner, you’re gonna get one leg and two BACKS, then an argument. Apparently at Dolly’s restaurant, BACKS are served as THIGHS per the waitress, even though there’s hardly any meat to the back. Either change the menu to say 1 leg & 2 backs, or just serve the thighs like it says!
