Our go-to spot when craving grilled pork intestines! Always flavorful, with a lively vibe that feels just like the PI . Plus, the cashier lady is super friendly and accommodating. Love this place!

If you’re looking for a no frills or thrills spot in West Covina that will satisfy your Filipino street food craving, then dollar hits can be a spot for you. The spot is a bit more of a takeout spot, but you can eat inside which I did. The $1.50 skewers are great for their price and will have a nice char on them when they are grilled up. They also have some other tasty treats like fried chicken skins and turon for sale too.

This is the most unique restaurant I have visited. Food choices are made from cold meat “bits”. Then it is warmed up to order. I believe everything is already cooked. Very interesting and tasty choices like bits of bacon, pig ears, or chicken hearts. They also have fried chicken skin chicharrones. Your choice of sweet or sour dipping sauces. Do not go in looking for hamburgers, though they do have hot dogs as a safe fallback choice. Taking one star off because the food was a little bit greasy (deep fried?).

Definitely recommended if you are looking for something different. Food is priced fairly. Very friendly service.

Not bad! Food is good, and price is exceptional. Every skewer is $1.50, and other items like cut mangos $8 and fried rice noodles $2. Will recommend!

Liked these dishes:
– fried rice noodles for $2!
– general rule of thumb: the more greasy fat it has, the better it tastes. Pork ears, pork belly, chicken thigh, pork, chicken skin were all great.
– Philippines mango (cut and served with spicy sauce)

Meh:
– less greasy items like sausages, fish balls, liver…

halo halo is AMAZING! get that, they fill it with toppings and good serving size. but we felt like the skewers we got were bland and didnt have enough filling (lumpia, kwek kwek, okoy)

service is great though

Came here to try out their skewers since I’ve seen it pop up on the maps as recommended when I’m in the area. I have to say, the food is really hit or miss, but kinda can’t blame them, given their pricing and their target demographics.

Every skewer is priced at $1.50 with one of the intestine being priced at $1.75 each. Do take note that, not every skewer is allotted the same amount of food. Some of the skewers within the same group aren’t even close in terms of how much food is on there. Some of the skewers have one less section to em than others in the same plate, so keep an eye out.

If I had to say, safest choice for skewers would be the meat ones, as those are somewhat hard to go wrong. We’ve tried the liver, but it was too dry after they cooked it, so I would stay away from this one.

Lastly, I would recommend getting the tiny fried fish, as they’re a pretty good portion for snacking, with minimal intrusive flavors, but still oddly addicting.

Looking for the true Filipino “Pinoy Street Food” experience? Try Dollar hits! You cannot go wrong! Grab an aluminum tray or styrofoam plate and snag all the sticks you desire! Bring it to the cashier and place any of your special orders such as Sisig Rice bowl or Arroz Caldo bowl! Definitely recommend both!

They have all the flavors you crave and want to reminisce about! Once you pay, the wait is like 5-10min max and wallah your Pinoy Street Food is ready!

Overall 4.6/5
Service 4/5
Taste 4.9/5
Cost $$ (Although its a dollar and twenty five per stick, you will rack it up easy! But worth the experience and fun for friends or family!)

Honestly, I only came here because I needed to break a $20 for a balikbayan box but that was the best decision of the day! The food was hot and delicious! Can’t wait to come back!
Dollar Hits is extremely popular in Los Angeles, the lines are long but move fast. If you are unfamiliar with the Los Angeles restaurant concept well here ya go; pick the BBQ skewers that call your name once paid for head outside and grill to your liking. Unfortunately, this particular location will grill the street food for you and because the weather has been so extremely hot lately, I don’t mind having them grill the food. It’s actually convenient if you ask me, pay; chill in the A/C, wont smell like BBQ also, and plus you don’t burn your food. Lol
Must get…
Pork
Chicken
Egg Rolls
Kwek kwek (tempura fried quail eggs)
Chicken hearts
Chicken gizzard

DOLLAR HITS W,,,C is a winning concept for Pinoy street food cravings. You pick your favorite Pinoy skewers, and they will all grill, fry, boil as you wait. You can opt to eat inside their clean and cold dining area or enjoy outside dining at their parking lot and sidewalk.
They also serve GOTO with tokwa’t baby and BEEF PARES. Tried them both today. Their cold melon and sago’t gulaman drinks are also amazing. $1 refills.

Great place to satisfy cravings from Filipino street food. The food on the skewers will be serve cooked. It brings me back to Manila just without the smoke from the griller.
