We went here for Father’s Day, and were really excited to try the food based on the reviews. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed. We all ordered pasta dishes that advertised seafood in them and there were only a few pieces. It was basically all pasta for dinner. The sauces were decent, but not as exceptional as I had hoped. If you’d like to eat, just pasta on its own, go for it. The drinks were bitter. The silver lining is that the wait staff probably local students were absolutely exceptional, and gave me hope for this generation. Hugh was our waiter and was such a nice person.

Loved this place! I could definitely tell everything was authentic, and the pasta is made in house everyday, which I appreciated. The staff really made this experience for me, and were extremely helpful. The waitress came by after we ordered our appetizer (carpaccio), and started to profusely apologize that the chef had accidentally made a smaller portion. She gave us another one, completely free of charge! To be honest, we wouldn’t of even realized the size difference if the waitress wouldn’t of pointed it out. Her hospitality really made my night!

The handmade pasta is definitely the highlight of this restaurant – they have a great selection of excellent pasta dishes. I would return solely for the main course & perhaps some wine.

We got seated on the basement floor, which was cold, dusty and had rather uncomfortable chairs. The food and service were OK – I thought the pasta game was strong but the sauces were pretty bland. There are several other places I would recommend for pasta in West Chester before dolce Zola. I would give 3 stars but I have to give major props for such a low corkage fee, which bumps it up to 4.

We had a wonderful meal. This was our first visit. We met one of the owners. She was very nice. We started with a few appetizers. The meatballs and buratta were delicious. The speck with peas and the lobster ravioli were also delicious. The service was a little slow especially since they didn’t appear to be that busy. I would highly recommend Dolce Zola and we will definitely return. Thank you Antonella for a great authentic Italian meal.

May have just become my new favorite date night restaurant in WC. Went to Dolce Zola last night on a whim and the food is fantastic. We started with three appetizers: the eggplant parm, chicken meatballs and fried calamari. Of those three, the fried eggplant was easily the best. It was multiple pieces thinly sliced and layered on top of each other. Crunchy exterior and delicate interior with a red sauce and melted mozzarella sprinkled on top. The other two were just ok. For dinner I got the pescatore pasta and my wife got the braised short rib pasta. (The rest of our group got different things. I didn’t try them all, but my brother got a carbonara which was also very good). Back to my meal- the pescatore was delicious. The noodles and shrimp were cooked to perfection. Being fresh noodles, they were still a little chewy which I loved but it was really the blush sauce mixed in with the crab that really made the dish. The sauce was creamy and really flavorful, but not overly saturated. It was perfect. My wife got the braised short rib pasta. The short rib was also delicious, but personally I don’t like the large noodle that came with her dish. She on the other hand was a big fan and loved the whole thing. Seems like you can’t go wrong with any of their fresh made pastas.

Fantastic. Truly in-house, scratch pasta. Great Italian food should be simple – at dolce Zola, every dish is beautifully crafted without being too “upidty”. The chicken meatballs were so incredibly moist while being light and fluffy (not labeled on the menu, the three smaller meatballs are each topped with a generous dollop of ricotta). For entrees, the Carbonara was so saucy and rich (in a non-overbearing kind of way), the pasta perfectly al dente, and the dish *chefs kiss*. The salmone affumicato was flavorful with so many layers to the dish as well.

My wife and I dined here on a Saturday evening. We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant is nicely decorated and fairly modern. The kitchen is exposed and they have some tables with a full view but most are on the other side of a wall.

I’m kicking myself for not coming here sooner. Everything was perfect. The menu is simple but unique. They have a very wide variety of sauces and accompanying noodles, from traditional Italian flavors to never seen before sauces. We started with the whipped ricotta toast, which was heavenly. For mains we got the short rib ragu and walnut pesto fettuccine. I can’t say enough how well everything was prepared and tasted. And to top it all off, we got tiramisu shots for dessert. I would highly recommend this hidden little gem!!!
