Quaint with genuinely good house-made ice cream and toppings, plus outstanding candy. Their sample game is out of control.

Service here is friendly but a bit business-like- don’t expect elongated conversations from the counter clerk as they are trying to attend to all the customers (a good thing). No sample is refused, and each is a heaping spoonful- personally I find this to be a bit of overkill. When I attended there were also free samples of bourbon cherries (outstanding) and chocolate truffles (unbelievable). If not for these I might have disregarded the candy, but now I will be sure to come back just for that.

The ice cream flavors are pretty standard but very well made. The seasonal pumpkin flavor might be the best I’ve ever had. Sundaes are served in a sort of silver goblet. The whipped cream and house-made syrups really are a cut above typical toppings. The Swiss Mountain sundae (pictured) featured whipped cream mixed with chocolate syrup to form a sort of ice cream soup – interesting. The brownie sundae (also pictured) was rich and satisfying.

The seating area can get a bit cramped. People with kids waiting for counter service may wander about the front half of the store, which can be annoying if you’re seated there. I can imagine it becoming downright unpleasant if a big line forms.

Overall a good experience and if you’re visiting the city, a great place to stop and get candy gifts for the folks at home.

Love, love, love Aglamesis! It’s the best ice cream in Cincinnati, hands down! The Montgomery location is so nostalgic because we used to ride our bikes there as kids.

Great place for ice cream with an intense local following. How intense? So intense that the power went out during our visit (staff reports that is incredibly rare) and people kept streaming in. It was dark in there, they couldn’t accept credit cards and yet there was a steady stream of people coming in to the shop. Bizarre!

The ice cream is the star of the show here. I sampled a couple of flavors before settling on their red raspberry chocolate chip. It was smooth and creamy with a very fruity flavor but not so much as to seem overdone. Add to that the pieces of chocolate suspended throughout and it was one fantastic ice cream cone.

The kids had brownie sundaes (there was a daddy tax so I am commenting based on personal knowledge) and they were truly exceptional. The quality of the brownie is usually suspect in a brownie sundae – even more so when both constructed and consumed in the dark – but this was a dish built on a really delicious brownie base.

I’ve been here many times, and plan to go many more. The chocolates and ice cream dishes are some of the best you can get. The ones we most often get are chocolate covered nuts, pretzels, and caramels. It should come as no surprise that the Cashewdies are my absolute favorite since they have all of that. The Pecandies are great too, and I also get them often, but the saltiness of the Cashewdies wins it for me. As far as I’ve cream goes, the chocolate malt (which they serve with cookies) and the banana split are excellent choices.

Really enjoyed the Italian ice cream, I had not had that type before. The consistency was very pleasant and was a nice dessert destination following lunch.
You can mix and match flavors when you order multiple scoops so that’s a fun addition!
The atmosphere was cute and felt like a blast from the past. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the amount of pink decor here!

I had my eye on this place for quite some time, and I’m so happy that I finally got to try it today! The interior decor is beautiful and I loved the overall vibe. In Columbus, I’m not sure we have a full service ice cream place yet (although I’d love if that changed ;)) They were really nice and welcoming. The ice cream is delicious and tasted fresh. I loved my banana split, one of the best I’ve had. I will be back next time I take a trip to Cincy!

A decent locally owned ice cream shop. The interior is awesome and have a sit down tables as well. The staff were very polite and service was great. I got the brownie ala mode. The brownie was a bit chewy for my taste and the portion was huge.

We stopped in for some signature Sunday’s this afternoon, and they were not what I remembered them to be. The price definitely does not justify the very small servings or quality. Particularly disappointing was the the cosmic style brownie they put in one of the servings. We drove a bit to get here, and this will be the last visit for us.
