Great authentic little Italian restaurant with fantastic panini. The outdoor seating is super cozy and definitely worth a wait.
The menu options are limited, but everything on it is great. I recommend the panini and upgrading to a footlong.
They also offer a variety of great desserts and coffee. Would definitely recommend and come again!

We went there for lunch on a Saturday. It was pretty busy but we got seated outside. We had a great time! Mimosa and Bellini were delicious. The caprese sandwich and the salmon sandwich were amazing. Also the bruschetta traditional was great! The mocha coffee was a miss, but it didn’t really matter. Would definitely be back!

What an awesome authentic Italian delicatessen! Tucked away in a corner for cozy atmosphere and felt like I was at my Italian Nona’s house! Loved everything we tried!

Really disappointing experience from start to finish — and that is saying a lot coming from a Naples local of over 20 years who has experienced both great and poor service in this area.

My family and I had heard for years how good Dolce and Salato was and had been meaning to try it. With visitors in town, we decided to stop in for lunch. Upon arrival, the environment felt chaotic, with customers standing throughout the shop and no clear direction on where to wait. We were then abruptly yelled at for where we were standing, despite having received no guidance.

Initially planning to dine in, we decided instead to place a simple takeout order after seeing how disorganized things felt. We ordered three identical sandwiches with no substitutions and were told it would take “no more than 10 minutes.” After waiting 40 minutes, we calmly approached the counter to ask for an update, only to be yelled at again and told we could not stand there and that the order was not ready.

At that point, we decided to leave without the food. Nearly an hour in the shop was more than enough, given the repeated yelling and lack of basic customer service. Several other customers also left while we were there after being ignored or scoffed at for asking to be seated or place an order.

It was honestly shocking to experience such an inhospitable environment at a restaurant so highly praised for its food. Sadly, we never even got the chance to try it. We will not be returning.

This place is a MUST if you are in the area. Very authentic, and the owners always make sure to stop by your table! We got the prosciutto di Parma and the Italian sandwiches. The break is the lightest, airy bread I’ve ever had, it’s amazing! The portions are large, definitely good to split! They pay attention to details and even give biscottis with the check, great touch! They have indoor and outdoor seating and the whole experience is incredible every time.

Phenomenal staff that show care and treat you like family. Refreshing to experience after service in many restaurants have decreased lately. Wonderful experience and we will be back!

What an absolutely delightful cafe, close to the beach, on 5th Ave. distinctive Italian flavors that are artfully presented and generous in portion size. A truly lovely place to enjoy a savory brunch or a tasty lunch. The prosciutto and melon plate is excellent. My Italian sandwich was loaded with absolutely delicious meats that balanced perfectly. I would eat lunch here every time when visiting Naples. Definitely check out the deserts and daily specials!

Arrived at noon on Monday and was immediately greeted. There was no problem getting seated. If you want a true Italian atmosphere this is the place to visit. It is actually owned and operated by people from Italy. The food was fresh, warm and authentic. They had their regular menu, specials and weekly specials. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. They had a unique bread basket with a variety of bread slices that was perfect for getting a sampling. The balsamic dressing on the salad was my favorite. They had many retail items that you could purchase. When we left at 1pm they were busy. A very enjoyable Italian lunch experience. I would recommend this place for the food and experience.
