I ordered over the phone and asked for the $36.99 for two. Nothing in their website about the New Year’s Eve menu with a different price. I was told there was a New Year’s Eve special menu, but I was not informed that the price was per person. Since the regular menu is for two, I assumed they were simply narrowing the menu for New Year’s Eve — this was never clarified. I was also not told that each can get a dessert. The regular menu includes only one dessert, so I ended up with two tiramisus instead of being able to choose a different dessert for my husband.
When we got home (3 minutes away), I called to express my disappointment. The woman who answered said she would transfer me to a manager, but the call was disconnected. I called back because I wanted the management to know how unacceptable this New Year’s Eve dinner was. Unfortunately, the woman on the other line said she couldn’t hear me and hung up again.
I ordered at 4:45 pm and saying we are working and Im ordering ahead of time, I will be picking up the order at 6:50pm but the order has been ready since 5:28 pm per the receipt attached. So my order was sitting for more than 1 hour.
Had I known all of this, I would have cooked dinner myself rather than pay over $95 for food neither of us enjoyed. Poor communication, cold food, and extremely disappointing service. Not worth the price!!!
Our server was Joey who was FANTASTIC, along with Brooke who was helping bus tables and drinks. The two were an AMAZING team. All of the food was GREAT along with the service.
Unfortunately before I dined I went to wash my hands and was absolutely ASTOUNDED that there was multiple ceiling tiles with clear moisture damage and MOLD just blatantly out for everyone to see. I wanted to leave the restaurant but I didn’t want to embarrass the servers or my family for that matter. Obviously this is of no fault to the employees – I don’t know who the owner of the building is, or if this restaurant even owns the building. I don’t know if this is just normal in coastal NJ or what but I just can’t even begin to understand why this hasn’t been dealt with in a clearly HIGHLY POPULAR establishment. They’re putting their employees first and foremost at risk and all of the patrons who patronize the business. We won’t be back sadly.
The food is absolutely outstanding. Everything tastes fresh, authentic, and clearly made with care. The menu has a great variety of Italian classics and seafood dishes, and every plate is beautifully prepared and full of flavor. You can really tell they take pride in their cooking.
What really stood out was how consistent everything was—from the service to the presentation to the taste of the dishes. It’s the kind of place where you leave already looking forward to your next visit.
If you’re looking for delicious Italian food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere, Dolce Liberta is a must-visit. Highly recommend
The spot is a vibrant, warm and welcoming experience from start to finish. Boasting an incredible menu for every taste and appetite as well as a comfortable, modern ambiance that sets the mood to chill as soon as you sit down.
We have always enjoyed ourselves – lunch, dinner and wine – it’s always a good time.
Looking down the line at these google reviews, shows more proof that any establishment with integrity and care is bound to face some mud slinging from the keyboard kids…. Thankfully, Olivia and the crew at Dolce shine fine beyond petty mess.
Keep doing your thing Dolce, you’re incredible.
