My husband brought me here after my epidural for breakfast and coffee. Super sweet bartender was also our server-she busted her butt helping us and the other patrons. We even got some pretty tasty beignets and strawberry syrup as well! I ate half of my entree and then brought the other half home. Hubby ate all of his American Breakfast entree.

I’m still sitting in here as I Type this review. But Brick & Spoon lives up to the reputation. I got the Shrimp and Grits first, I’m getting the Loaded Hash now. Very good food, takes a little bit longer but I’m More than willing to wait on Good food with Good service! Shout out to my Waitress Emily with the Fantastic Customer Service and attitude!

Stopped by Brick & Spoon in Mobile while I was in town and grabbed their American-style breakfast, and man… it hit the spot. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the bacon had that perfect crisp without being burnt, and the breakfast potatoes were seasoned just right — crispy on the outside, soft inside. Even the biscuit was amazing!
Simple breakfast, but they executed it really well. If you’re in Mobile and want something dependable and good, this is a solid place to try out. I’d definitely come back.

A great breakfast restaurant is a gem to find but this was not it, service was slow, waited 30 minutes plus to be seated only to be ignored, or perhaps forgotten, until the bill was due, they confuse over-cooked home-style potatoes for hash browns, a very busy restaurant but no idea why as the food was unremarkable and the service even worse. Eat at your own peril.

The staff was so awesome! Tasty menu – the biscuits, the deviled egg appetizer, and the cookie butter iced coffee are perfect! Shout to to the manager’s playlist in Sunday!

Excellent pretzel and fries….good place to go if you are not in a hurry and want to chill. Also has outside picnic table style seating. Family friendly as well.

Usually a good place to eat but we went in to grab food today and were so repulsed by the disgusting food safety practices that we did not make it past the hostess stand. There was an elderly gentleman at the hostess stand who was concerned with cleaning off tables and did so with his bare hands then placed the bussed container filled with used plates right at the hostess stand. Dumped a dirty rag right on the floor at the hostess stand. The rag “cleaning fluid” was sitting on the floor and used multiple times by this point so congrats no table is really clean. Then grabbed new fresh clean utensils with his bare hands that had just been used to clean the dirty table and touch the disgusting rag. THE MAN DID NOT EVEN WASH HIS HANDS BETWEEN. It turned our stomachs so bad that we walked out then and there as he was seating the folks in front of us who unfortunately were unaware their “clean” utensils had just been contaminated. Absolutely inexcusable and disgusting!!! Clean up your act brick and spoon

This was our second time visiting. Great service and I love the atmosphere. I ordered vegetable Benedict the morning after Thanksgiving …… first bite, it had a very sour taste. Wasn’t sure if it was from vegetable or sauce. I kept eating it as I was hungry but I decided to mention to our waitress towards the ends as I started noticing the sourness more and more. I thought it was the hollandaise sauce but it turned out they put too much vinegar cooking eggs. She offered to make another place but I kindly declined as I almost finished. They could also put more hollandaise sauce on the dish and much less vinegar next time lol

I loved my experience at Brick and Spoon! My server, Malerie was excellent! Very friendly, prompt, and professional. I ordered the veggie omelet with corn grits and a side of Bayou topping! Best breakfast I’ve had in months. Will definitely be returning to this location the next time I visit Mobile, AL.
