I really enjoyed my Reuben and the pub chips. Of course I grabbed a draft Guinness as it was a must have!
Returned on 6/22/25 with a full booth of diners. Heather had server expertise, the Manager personally delivered hot starters, and drinks (including juices) were smartly mixed. Particularly impressive is the Chef’s restraint cooking veggies. Haricot Verts (string beans) and broccoli sides are bright green tender. Another diner, a booth over, almost drollled with regret about not ordering the Egg Rolls & asked me again in the parking lot across the street to rate them. 6 stars, ditto pretzel bites/dip. If I could change one thing? The coleslaw. Bobby Flay has the best slaw recipe on earth imo. Just sayin.
I had the sticky coffee cake also. It was fine taste-wise, but not authentic.
We wanted to visit Pittsboro for lunch, just a town over from us. As we approached the place, I saw the second floor outside seating and since it was a mild day, perfect to sit out there. We were able to get a table, it was equally busy downstairs and up. We were seated and that’s when it initially went downhill, we looked through the extensive menu and knew what we wanted pretty quickly… we waited patiently, acknowledging maybe it was busy… waiters and waitress continued to come out but nobody was for us. Another table was sat after us and they got their waitress before we did, at that point I had to go in and say something. I will say 15 minutes have passed at this point (I had taken pictures when we got there and looked at the time when I sat back down after trying to figure out who/where our waiter/waitress was. In my mind, I already wanted to start with a 1-2 star. They finally came to get our order, since we sat a while, we were ready to order everything.
I started with an Irish Coffee, half caesar salad and Celtics Cordon Bleu, while my bf got a half caesar salad and shepherd’s pie.
After that, everything else went smoothly (went up to 3-4 star) and they even offered bread pudding on the house for the wait, we appreciated it, thank you! Which led to my final overall 4 star since I was also not hangry anymore . All the food was delicious. The town is cute and definitely in need of another visit.

So when I saw it on the menu, I had to order it and I’m so glad I did. It made me cry. It reminded me of my dad everything about it. The whipped potatoes with that beautiful browning on top. Everything was awesome. My husband got the Reuben, which was incredible as well along with the hand cut fries, great experience, wonderful food if you haven’t tried it yet you need to
