I loved the burger and was EXTREMELY happy of the chicken tenders but wish they came with sides for the price that you pay. Everything is separate so if you get the burger you have to order a side of fries.

The vibes and the food are great here. If you want that old school joint with a new school twist on it this is your spot! So far ive tried something out of every piece of their menu and everything has been a hit. The burgers, the tots, the chicken sandwiches, the dogs! Great selection of sodas too! And the shakes!! Great food great prices and quick. Its a smash!

Tasty place to stop. Got the Mongo dog and onion rings which were both good and loved the outdoor seating. I think it’d be nice to have a slightly larger dog but we really just stopped for something to tide us over for a couple hours before dinner so this worked out nicely for us.

A co-worker recommended Dogtown, and I am glad she did! If you have been following my trek around the state in search of outdoor roadside grills, you know this is my favorite type of restaurant.
I got a 1/4 pound burger, added bacon, got the large fries, and a bottled beverage. It all came to $18 and was delicious!
The service was quick and friendly, the food hot and plentiful, and the price about average for this meal.

A really great, no frills eatery that specializes in great tried and true foods like hotdogs and tater tots. What’s amazing about them is their unique take on these with great flavor combinations that are a delight to try.

This place is a triple threat: great food, cool dudes, & neat atmosphere.
We got the totchos, popper dog (fried jalapeños, cheese sauce, whew!!!), and the Dogtown burger with bacon.
Best burger in ct. Period. The tots had pico de gallo, meat sauce, and sour cream, and were STILL CRISPY!!

The other day I noticed someone reviewed Raising Cane’s and mentioned Dogtown being superior to them. I too was disappointed in the quality of Raising Cane’s, so I came today in hopes of amazing food and it was better than I expected! I had their krusty burger, my husband had the CBR 1000 without jalapeños, my daughter had a basic cheeseburger and we shared the loaded tots. I also got my father two dogs with the works and chili. The food was definitely superior. I’m so glad we decided to try them today. In comparison their quality is so much better.

Not sure of the hype. The hotdogs are too small for the bun (which was anemic and not grilled but warm and doughy). Not even sure the hotdog was grilled, I couldn’t tell, it was so small, especially for the price. If you want a decent grilled hotdog and bun, Jake’s downtown is 100x better and cheaper.

We got the Philly dog and bacon chili cheese dog with chili cheese fries and cheese fries. This place was AMAZING!! The employees were very friendly and welcoming, and everything was fresh, the outside patio was super great too. We don’t have kids, but I thought the high chairs they offered were awesome too! I can’t wait to get back here next time I’m in town!

Small place with INCREDIBLE flavor! New to CT but we stopped by to grab lunch. These are some of the best hot dogs I’ve had (Mongo and Yuppie dogs) and the loaded tots were packed with so much complex/rich flavor, I bragged about them to others. Really want to go back and try the chicken sandwiches too
