I should’ve known with no one being in the establishment that it was going to be the worst place to eat. Not to mention the dusty and dirty feel and look it had to it. I heard from others a year or two ago that it was good and I was excited to eat here, considering my usual birria taco place (EL Tijuas Tacos on Osuna) was closed. I will never make this mistake again. To start the food is way over priced for what you get. My quesabirria tacos were $16.99. Then, once the tacos came out I knew at first glance it was going to be a stomach ache. There was mostly fat for meat and they didn’t have that freshly made warmth to them. The salsa that it comes with are in a mini container the size of a quarter. When I asked for more salsa the girl stated that she’d have to charge me $1 extra for each extra salsa. Mind you not even enough salsa for the whole taco order. The consomé that it comes with is in a small container and the broth had a grease cap. When dipping the tacos the flavor of the consomé was hard to even taste. Not that it would’ve even had any to begin with. Needless to say I should’ve walked out and not even tried to eat here at first glance. I’m so sick to my stomach that I wanted to ask for a refund.
As a reply to my review these owners decided to be deceitful and defensive, instead of making things right with their customer. That in itself should tell you how accurate my review was. This unprofessional behavior explains exactly why their food is not of quality or quantity for that matter and their business is disorderly and unclean. I can say with full confidence that my partner or I have not returned to this place since this incident. Doggos V.I.P does not uphold the small business standard of Mexican cuisine in New Mexico. Nor does it display the culture and community that we so proudly uphold.

Easy going place with delicious unique hotdogs and lemonades, they also have tacos. Try the Sonoran dog for a very different flavor. Ask for the chile toreados (grilled) on the side too.

“compliment” came from my very picky 9-year-old he loved his tacos and the carne asada fries so much that he’s asking to go weekly (and he’s a very boring eater!). We felt so welcomed from the moment we walked in. The food has so much flavor; I was ready to order one of everything!

Picked up my first Dogos vip Cali burrito last night. Before I even took the first bite I had to capture a photo in my studio to really highlight the deliciousness that is this burrito. This burrito is apparently very controversial. Is it an authentic “Cali burrito”? No. Is it a better upgraded version of the Cali burrito? Definitely. The hot Cheetos adds a new layer that I loved. Is it for you? Well you won’t know until you go and try it for yourself! Thanks again DogosVIP!

Came in for the Cali burrito and I’m not exaggerating… it’s one of the best in Albuquerque. The fries were perfectly crispy, steak was seasoned right, and they did NOT skimp on anything. Every bite was loaded.
Then we tried the birria tacos and yeah… game over. Super juicy, full of flavor, and the consommé was legit. You can tell they take pride in their food here. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast.
Dogos VIP stays consistent every time. If you’re sleeping on this spot, that’s on you. Definitely coming back

The food was great and the cashier was very nice. The recommendation was a great choice for a first time. The buffalo fries were okay just a little heavy on the sauce. Overall recommend, coming back and great food.

Such great food and service. My favorite is the Buffalo fries, but those Hot Dogs and Tacos are also great. If you haven’t tried them, you are missing out.

We went to Dogos VIP, and we had the Cali Burrito with the azada fries and they were delicious!! The food was super flavorful. Definitely worth the visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their food.

I ordered the Sonora dog and my husband ordered the carnivore dog. The bun was perfect and crispy not soggy at all. The flavor is awesome!! Looking for a twist on hot dogs this is the place for SURE!!
