We ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich. First bite regretted ordering it. They were on special so we thought we would try them. I always enjoyed the hot dog or hamburger whenever I ate there. The pork tenderloin seemed to be very poor quality.

Long line at the drive through, so it must be popular. I paid over $3 for a sad, little chili cheese dog with everything. Everything meant that there was pickle relish, diced onions and mustard on the base of the bun. The chili had beans in it and the cheese was a sandwich slice. This was overpriced and cheaply made. I was really hoping a place with dog in the name could make a good chili cheese dog. I was sadly mistaken. I guess it’s back to Sonic for me. 🙁

My husband and I went thru the drive thru this evening like we always do. So we could eat at home while watching a movie. This by far was Definitely not our first visit. We have come to this establishment for many, many years. Because of the great service we have always received. Well up until this day.
On 5-15-2024 at 8:30pm I have to tell you this had to be the absolute worst visit ever! For starters we ordered and after ordering we were told we couldn’t get any cherry lime aids because they didn’t have any sprite. We said ok can we get a coke then. We conclude the order and get to the window to pay and the young guy in the drive thru window with the curly ponytail with a hat on literally was throwing our drinks at me and was extremely impatient. I was trying to put one of the tops on that came off and he’s saying here’s your other drink and I’m trying to hurry. These drinks had maybe 10 tiny ice balls in them which was strange and the kid says the drink machine is out. So we were confused on where the coke came from. Anyways we get home which is like 3 minutes from the restaurant and sit down to eat and my husband and I both drink some pop and literally almost spit it out across the dining room table it was flat as water. This was extremely frustrating so we proceed to pour them out and just drink some juice we had at home. After buying into the burgers we were like there’s something clearly wrong with this food today. It was bland, taste very weird and was just horrible. So out of concern I called the restaurant to speak with a Manager, his name was Nicholas and as I was trying to explain the situation he kept cutting me off telling me the food isn’t expired, there’s nothing wrong with the drinks they went to Quiktrip across the street and I was poured a bottle pop. This guy for a manger has to be the rudest alleged person ever. Because of his lack of empathy for the situation and the inconvenience to my husband and myself we will never ever return to DOG N SHAKE especially at Maple and Tyler. You could definitely use some manners because I did not speak at all rudely to you and I was nothing but polite to you. You continued to cut me off while I was explaining what happened with our purchase. So shame on you! I would not recommend this location. I should have just stayed home and cooked our dinner. This guy is not good for business not when there are other options so close.

Great place with good food. Had the kraut dog and it was a little smaller than expected. Better get 2 if you’re hungry. Prices are fair and the staff is awesome!

Always a great local spot for a burger, hot dog, or a shake. Cheese fries are also amazing! Even in the drive through, the employees are kind and patient for a Dad + 3 trying to figure out what everyone would like to eat. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. If you usually get a cherry limeade because they’re so good, try the raspberry next time! I did and I loved it!

Delicious toasted bun hot dogs and yummy shakes so thick you can barely drink them through a straw. Classic Wichita place that has been around since I was a kid. It feels a tad overpriced, though.
