Really wanted to like this place. Cool atmosphere, really looks like an old school bar you’d love to come back to again and again. But you can count on an empty drink for quite a while, even on a very slow night. Almost feels like a “locals only” bar. Bartender walked by an empty glass near me many times, didn’t ever ask if I wanted another, and served others several more times in the meantime. They were also smoking a cigarette inside. Gonna have to pass on this one

My son and I are from outside of Chicago. We jumped off the plane at SFO, got the rental cars, and drove just a few minutes looking for a bar. We found The Dog House, and every time we jump in a jet to San Francisco and land, The Dog House is our first stop. And the night before we get on a plane to go back to Chicago, we get smashed at The Dog House.

Due to many cancellations at SFO, I decided to stay near the airport and make this place my “home base” for an impromptu vacation in San Francisco. Best decision I made! This place is so great, too many good things to say about it. The atmosphere is laid back. Great prices, it is just a short ride to downtown to all the attractions. Started and ended my evening here many times. The staff and customers that come through are some of the coolest people you’ll ever meet. Come here and you are bound to make new friends!
