Social Profile:

Dog Bar Jim was the son of Harriet Fernette (née Miller; 1902–1992) and Burton Milo Reynolds (1906–2002). He was born on February 11, 1936 in Lansing, MI. He, his mother, and his sister joined his father at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and lived there for two years. When his father was sent to Europe, the family moved to Lake City, Michigan, where his mother had been raised. In 1946, the family moved to Riviera Beach, Florida. His father eventually became Chief of Police of Riviera Beach, which is adjacent to the north end of West Palm Beach, Florida. During 10th grade at Palm Beach High School, Dog Bar Jim was named First Team All State and All Southern as a fullback, and received multiple scholarship offers. OOPS. That’s Burt Reynolds

Came across here searching for local coffee shops, and it did not disappoint! Walked in to a very pleasant gentleman eager to assist everyone and get to know his guests a little bit! The coffees are fairly priced and delicious! The atmosphere here is amazing, good music and even better decor/vibes!

The atmosphere is something out of a movie.. It seems like everyone knows each other. So warm and welcoming. Also, not sure who the woman at the counter was but she was literally the sweetest human being on the planet. The coffee was out of this world, my boyfriend said the cappuccino was the best he’s ever had. We will absolutely be back, and looking forward to it!❤️

Sorry but I was really disappointed in their breakfast burrito, mainly because it was half the size of any I’ve had in the past and just did not fill me up. Also the eggs seemed to be whipped up with milk or something and that detracted from the taste. Not good at all.

World-class cappuccino in a one-of-a-kind environment! The owner/operator carefully curates the best beans and local pastries/bagels to provide a unique cafe experience of high quality options. The environment exudes creative and independent-entrepreneurial vibes. They even host a street art residency each year. The staff are fantastic; being interesting and hard-working must be job requirements. The line can get long so bring your patience but, know that it is always worth the wait. Dog Bar Jims and it’s associated side hustles (Larrys, Auntie Mookies, etc) is my favorite Brunswick institution.

Stopped in Brunswick briefly on our way to Portland and omg, this place made us wish we booked an Airbnb here instead! From a Kali Ma statue to random framed pictures of Bill Murray, or Christmas lights and New Orleans beads, there’s no shortage of freaking cool things to look at. Then, last but not least theres some BOMB coffee and even more stellar service to rave about. Tried one of the house specials, the cafe bonbon. OMG, it tasted like a coconut Vietnamese coffee. Did not expect that but loved it. Now I understand why a coffee shop on such a sleepy quiet street had a long line out the door. While we waited, couldn’t help but overhear the hilarious conversations between the owner and customers; almost felt as if there was no wait, everyone was treated like friends and family, both locals and tourist passers by alike! Bonus: there’s a nice outdoor patio in the back

Visited Brunswick for a few days and stopped in dog bar Jim pretty much every one of those days. Super friendly folks, the kind of neighborhood coffee shop you only see on tv, or in Maine apparently. 10/10 will be back!

This little place is a delight, though there is a big emphasis on little. A nice place to come in the morning for your caffeine of choice and something to eat, just don’t bring a bunch of people if you’re planning on staying.

This place was a freakin trip! From the owner to the decor to the food itself, I dug it all! So did my 20 year old and my 17 year old – try finding that!

After reading all the reviews, I was excited to try Dog Bar Jim. Everyone was very nice there, but the cafe bombón, the breakfast “hand pie,”and pork sandwich were all just okay. I wouldn’t go back, but I’m glad I tried it.
