We stopped here early one evening but they had only the set menu items at that time. We got the wings (10) and a personal size margherita pizza along with a side of lambie (conch). The lambie and wings with spicy sauce were good. The pizza was very average. The drinks that we wanted and the chocolate cake weren’t available so early in the evening which was a bummer.

Great evening at DD. I had modest expectations as this is heavily recommended for tourists.

However the band absolutely smashed it. They started with some well done covers of popular music which was really good. However they really came into their own with the contemporary and island music which I didn’t really know. They rocked. It’s not always easy to enjoy a live band making music that is new to you but the musicality and vocal strength just carried is along. So good. Food was good and the atmosphere great.

Great atmosphere to have a drink with some friends. The view is great and there’s always a nice breeze on the water. We really enjoyed our stay at True Blue Resort and having a place like this was a plus.

This restaurant is really cool on Street Food Wednesdays. Starting at 6:30 pm, a bunch of vendors set up stations and you have a chafing dishes with a ton of food options. There is also a taco bar and a dessert cart. The meal options include oil down, a local specialty, and all kinds of meat and fish dishes. Also many side dishes are available like potatoes (ground provisions), rice, steamed veg, salad and mac and cheese.

There is live entertainment.

You buy tickets up front for 5 EC per ticket and that’s how you pay for food. Each food item says how many tickets it is. The main meal items are around 7-9 tickets and side dishes vary between 2 and 6 tickets. The 3 of us started with 10 tickets each, but got 10 more later which we shared. If you have cash, there’s a lady by one row of chafing dishes that will sell you tickets so you don’t have to go outside and wait in line for more.

Either make a reservation as early in advance as possible or if it’s booked, go early because there are extra tables in the back but they fill up quickly.

Interesting location in True Blue, on the marina. We enjoyed the Callaloo Coconut Soup, but wouldn’t bother with the Shrimp Cocktail again (only a few shrimp, and quite watery). The Callaloo Chicken and Spicy Pepperpot were good, as were the Nutmeg Colada and (extra gingery) Dark and Stormy.

Something simple in the Caribbean had great flavour. My bestie ordered fish very well presented and I had Alfredo pasta with chicken, both were amazing…them I I had the Chocolate Margarita and it blew us away…just enough chocolate with enough tequila it was fabulous. Hats off to the fabulous chef tonight and all the staff, including Sharonna and Kardina

The regular menu is too basic.
The Margerita seems popular esp during happy hour.
Live music can be hit and miss by chance!
They often have a latin eve with pro dancers if you need a partner.
Friendly staff.
The whole place sits over the water in a quiet bay, so that’s nice.
visiting yachts might find room to anchor in the bay.

The best part of the pizzas we ordered here was the hot sauce we put on them. They seemed like pre-packaged oven bake pizzas you would find at a grocery store but cost close to 20$US each (the veggie and reggae). In addition, the pizza came out barely like warm. We ordered 2 rum drinks and not sure if they watered them down or the ice melted as they sat on the bar forever, but seemed pretty watered down to the point you couldn’t tell how much rum was orignally there and it tasted off. The live music was really great though.

This review is of Street Food Wednesday. It is highly recommended and you will thoroughly enjoy..Went last week 2/18/26 and enjoyed the local food. Get there early if you want the best food and make sure you make a reservation for a table a few days before the event. Many people found themselves standing, eating, and watching the local acts. Enjoy the after party with music and dancing after the show.
