I wish I could take back all my other 5 star reviews so this place would have my highest rating but alas I can’t so I am sitting here wishing I could give this place more than a 5 star review because they deserve it. The simplicity and authenticity is so special. The care put into the preparation of food plus the incredible staff make the dinning experience next level. They have an open concept kitchen where you can see the meal being prepared as well. It’s so refreshing to know it’s a quality meal as if it was being made in my own kitchen.
Now for the food itself…it is absolutely exquisite and has me wanting to go back already! The menu is not overwhelming, rather simple and delicious dishes that do all the speaking for themselves. Please stop by and appreciate this special spot and make sure to check out the food being prepared in the open kitchen! They make everything from scratch so enjoy some good company while you wait for some of the best food around.

First time visiting Dr Kustom and we came early for the experience. We got steak fries, calabrese pastel, beef pastel with a passionfruit desert. The food was amazing, honestly the pastels are something ive not experienced and they are so unique tasting and delicious (kind of like if a pastry and a cheese toasted sandwich had a baby stuffed with meat and cheese). The staff were so amazing they were kind and checked in on us and gave us to go bags as we didnt realise how filling the pastels were. We also got to see the Chef who was so sweet and checked if we liked the food
food. We will definitely be coming back to try and get the sandwiches next time.

Doctor Kustom is a must-visit! The Thursday Picanha Steak Sandwich is easily one of the best I’ve ever had—it is incredibly delicious and, most importantly, cooked consistently every single time.
The Calabresa Pastel is also wonderful and a great addition to the meal. I’m already looking forward to coming back to experience the Chef’s Table. Highly recommended for anyone looking for high-quality, flavorful food!

I was super excited to try the picanha sandwich after seeing so many positive things about it online. Like “best sandwich in Tulsa” “I’d have this as my last meal” etc. Bought two to go so I could eat with my sister who works nearby. We each took a bite and when I looked at her I knew she was thinking the same thing as me…this is it? It is good there’s just no wow factor. The meat is extremely tender but it could’ve used just a bit more salt. I totally get wanting the focus to be on the picanha so no loading it up like crazy with a bunch of ingredients, but we felt like something was missing because the flavor was so mild. I liked the fried polenta. Glad I finally tried it but didn’t feel worth the $36.

We had the cheese pastel, steak fries, coxinha and passion fruit mouse. Everything was so hit and fresh with the most delicious cheese oozing out of the pastel. I must say though that the coxinha was the hit! It seriously was one of the most delicious foods I have had in a very long time. The woman who puts her heart and soul into them should know just how truly amazing they are and that her love for others comes through!! Many thanks to the amazing people who were so nice to us!!

I’ve eaten at Doctor Kustom at least twice, once back when they were still located in the Mother Road Market and a second time more recently in their stand alone location. The first time, I was making a point to try the pastel, which is their default item. This most recent visit I happened to have a day off which aligned with their steak picanha sandwich day – and so my daughter and I made the trek from Missouri once again. While I have enjoyed everything I have had at Doctor Kustom, from the main dishes to the sides, the picanha sandwich is possibly one of the best things I’ve had in my life. The daughter of the family appeared to be serving and checking in on everyone, making sure that everything turned out well – extremely attentive and responsive. I am hopeful one day I get to go back for one of the chef’s table or otherwise special events as I would gladly sample anything they had available at this point. Between the excellent food and the warmth of the family at the heart of the business, it is extremely clear why Doctor Kustom is as highly-regarded as it is. Even if they opened ten minutes late, I would understand that there are probably reasons why and count myself lucky to be first in the building.
