my wife and why I went there in the afternoon that was not many people there The Experience started off great my wife has said she didn’t have any water today so the waiter Charles said that he was going to bring two cups of water for my wife and that’s what that I want to drink that was funny they have a sign say that they have the best shrimp in the world which is a lie their fried shrimp is below Captain D’s fried shrimp in tast and value. Charles thev waiter came and took our order. for some reason all of their sides are an upcharge the seafood platter came with coleslaw and baked potato if you wanted to exchange that with something else like maybe green beans that was another $2 if you wanted to add a salad in place of the potato that was another two to four dollars Charles assume that I wanted to pay extra for some green beans or something when I was perfectly satisfied with the potato and coleslaw my wife she ordered her platter and I ordered some gumbo with mine we were recommended to go there by a friend but we’re not happy with what we got ordered so we were not go back to docs again

First time visiting and our waitress was very helpful and kind. The shrimp and oysters were absolutely delicious. The fish was also but a little tough in places. I love that you make your own cocktail sauce at the table. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and fast service, even on a busy summer night! MUST try their fried shrimp, it’s the best around! I had the steak and my husband had the seafood and everything was cooked perfect and was delicious!

I heard great reviews about this location so my family and I decided to try it. I just don’t understand. It was a lot of food but the flavor just wasn’t there. Our waitress for some reason had an attitude most of the night. She acted like she didn’t want to be there and we were a bother. We tried to just let it go but it made the visit somewhat awkward. It just wasn’t worth it for the price we paid.

We went on Columbus Day with about 40 classmates from the Foley Class of 73. They were able to sit us in an area where we were all together, we had several awesome servers assigned to us. The servers quickly knocked out and served all of our drinks. They offered us great suggestions from the menu. Our food was quickly and expertly prepared. Everyone present seemed to really enjoy their meals.

Doc’s Seafood delivers that laid-back beach shack vibe you want after a long day in the sun. Their fried shrimp often steals the show crispy, well seasoned.., and satisfying. Some dishes (like gumbo or red snapper) land okay, but occasionally lean a bit bland or salty. Service tends to be friendly and fast, though during busy times you’ll feel the wait. Atmosphere is relaxed, casual, with that local charm. Prices can run a bit high for what you get, but overall it’s a solid stop if you’re craving seafood and don’t need fancy.

We had a good meal but it wasn’t a great meal. Nothing wrong with good meal but our experience with Doc’s is normally a little higher. I’m sure it will be back to normal next visit.

I came here to Orange Beach for vacation with my Mom and stepfather last month. We went to a restaurant almost every day we were here, including this seafood restaurant. Which made perfect sense now that we were at the beach. I ordered the Mahi Mahi specialty dinner, to savor the opportunity to enjoy fresh seafood. And boy was it delectable!

Charles was our waiter. Excellent. Ask him about 17th century history of shellfish in Virginia.

Dauphine Island oysters on the half shell were delicious!

If a place advertises “The best fried shrimp in the entire civilized world” you have to give them a try! I enjoyed the fried shrimp, for sure. I was a bigger fan of the stuffed crab. Something different here: you prepare your own cocktail sauce. They give you a little plastic cup with horseradish in it, then you add the ketchup, worsheshire sauce and lemon. It was actually pretty good! Now, I know how to make my own. This is a family friendly restaurant. They had games and things outside. There are also other locations.
