First time in Mobile, and my first time at this restaurant. We wanted to eat by the water and watch the sunset. I saw this place and chose it and the food was not a disappointment. Everything was delicious. Especially the hushpuppies! It was incredibly quiet and so enjoyable to sit and look at the water. The staff was so friendly and helpful. One lady made a recommendation for where we could go watch the sunset. And it was such a gorgeous spot. It was like being on the edge of the world. I highly recommend coming here and enjoy the peace and quiet and delicious, hot food.

Stopped for lunch at Dockside. Wow, so good and amazing sized shrimp. I ordered the Steamed shrimp which came with 5 shrimp, potatoes and corn on the cob. Hubby ordered the fish basket with fries and hushpuppies. We finished off by sharing a piece of Key lime pie.

We are on the island for a school field trip. I have a very particular 11 year old who just wanted a burger for dinner. Dockside Seafood Restaurant to the rescue! It was incredibly affordable (especially compared to other island restaurants) and the food was fast. The owner personally made sure that our food was to our liking. Thank you for a delicious dinner!

So, the restaurant is downstairs. You walk in and order at the counter and pay. They only have bottled drinks/water. Then go find your table indoors or outdoors. It took a good while to get our food. The fries weren’t hot, and our shrimp were bland. I will say the royal reds were phenomenal!! We were with family that ordered right after us, and we were almost done eating before they got their food. The view is great, but don’t go early, there’s hardly any shade

This little restaurant has a good variety of seafood choices. The food was fresh and came in good sized portions. The atmosphere was very simple, but clean. We came on a very cold night and had to sit by the door, which was continually opening, so it was kind of cold. But I realize that’s part of it. We’d love to come back when the weather is nice and eat outside.

Unassuming place, nicely situated with deck views of small boats coming and going. Bar upstairs. The online descriptions are for real! Shrimp was fresh, succulent and flavorful, not the nondescript frozen ho hum blobs from supermarkets. Even fried it was lightly battered and simply outstanding. Shrimp Po’Boy & boiled 1/2 lb. of shrimp equally superb. Fries are good, but Hush puppies are hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The cook knows what s/he is doing!

Arrive by waverunner and ‘park up’ on the adjacent beach, you can watch from plentiful outdoor seating to make sure that the tide does not catch you out. The owners and staff are friendly and expedient, food quality and quantity is great, my go to is the 1lb Royal Reds, also get yourselves a cool T shirt when at this restaurant. If you’re thirsty for a frosty beverage then head upstairs to the seperate business , The Pelican Pub. Can’t beat this combination. Closed Sundays and Thursdays at the moment. Check their facebook page for opening hours.
