We ate here for the first time tonight. The location is nice. You can see the water from almost everywhere inside of the restaurant.
Our server was very sweet, he made a few mistakes but we were told that it was his first night on tables.
The food was great! We got calabash style shrimp, oysters, and clam strips and all of it was delicious!! We got coconut shrimp as an appetizer and it was very good.
We will definitely return the next time we come to the area!

We went here because my father in law had loved the hush puppies here on another trip. I can’t eat hush puppies, so I can’t judge them. The food was pretty good except for the seafood stew – it tasted like ketchup and BBQ sauce. Not sure what was happening, but the waitress took it back easily, so I think that’s a common thing. My kiddo ordered the salmon fillet and she absolutely loved it and ate every piece! My husband loved the ravioli. I had a seafood platter. It was good, but not excellent. Mostly because the oysters and crab Louise were pretty dry. The service though most absolute mentioned. The waitress was the cheeriest, most organized, sweetest person that ever lived.

30 years ago we first made eating at Dockside a part of our summer vacation while at MB. Things have changed since then, but the experience at Dockside is the same. Whether the unassuming outer appearance and sprawling trees or spacious indoor decor with large views overlooking the boat dock, not much is different. I ordered the Calabash-style popcorn shrimp & fried clam strips, w fries. My wife chose broiled scallops that were a little tuff and shrimp. The shrimp was exactly as we remembered. They were very tasty & filling.

For three generations my family has been coming to Dockside every summer when we go to NC/SC. Food is great, especially the hush puppies! Love the shrimp (broiled or fried are my faves) and also the stuffed crabs. Great atmosphere with the dock and river as a backdrop.

First time at Dockside Seafood for dinner. Waitress was polite and engaging. Location is Beautiful on the Dock and we sat outside.
Food arrived quickly and was tasty.
I will visit this restaurant again.

Amazing food, great prices! The coconut shrimp appetizer was crunchy and satisfying. I also recommend the flounder soup. Oysters were huge and fresh. Very affordable. We were sitting at the bar and it was kind of loud and the service was not great because the bartender was not very pleasant. She seemed stressed and was rushed. But all in all, I would recommend and would go again.

Overall a good dining experience. Steak was very fatty but cooked just right. The kids meals were great as well as the service.

I was told that Calabash was really a tourist place. But then I heard about this place and how locals go here and the prices are fair. I am really glad we did, we sat outside, had an amazing waitresses who knew the menu inside and out. The food was great from the soup to the entrée, even the hush puppies which a bit sweet had a great taste. For a seafood restaurant on the water, we had beers soup and 2 entrées it was under 65 bucks.

This restaurant has delicious food-calabash seafood platters, hush puppies, and a variety of seafood meals. I had the shrimp scampi and it was very good! The service was great and so were the views of the water!

Drove up to Calabash from Myrtle Beach. Went here for dinner. The service was fast. Out waitress was very friendly, helpful and professional. The view of the boats and water way are very nice. If the review was on the food alone it would be lower (1 star). The food was bland with not much flavor. Portion sizes were small for the price.
