Food was delicious! We tried the chicken sandwich and fish & chips—both were great. It’s a bit pricier than usual, but absolutely worth it for the view and peaceful atmosphere. Sitting in the sun, enjoying a tasty meal, and looking out over the beautiful lake made it such a memorable experience. Definitely a must-visit spot—be sure to eat outside!

Amazingly yummy food, conveniently located lake side in the state park. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. we had a small dog with us in July and couldn’t not leave him in the car so the seated us outside so we wouldn’t have to bring him in. We loved looking out to the lake. The food was delicious, the portions were huge! even the kids meal came with 2 large chicken strips and a bunch of fries. My daughter was very excited about finding turtles in the lake.

Great family-friendly spot with a lovely view of Legion’s Lake. Our server was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable about the food/beer, but also about the area! All the food was delicious and great serving sizes. Fish and chips were awesome, with a great balance of breading to lovely white fish and not heavy from grease. Fish tacos and BLAT sandwich were super yum! Skip the beans and get fries! A must visit when in Custer or surrounding areas!

Very nice restaurant sitting right on legion lake. Wonderful view of the lake, and a wider selection of food than we expected. Burgers salads, and other sandwiches for lunch, and larger meals for dinner. We had breakfast and the food was quite tasty for a roadside restaurant. A little on the pricy side, but if your here to see this amazing park it will save you at least an hour opposed to driving to Custer or Rapid.

Good food with good prices! We sat outside and enjoyed a view of the lake. This restaurant is part of Legion Lake Lodge. The lodge offers paddleboard and kayak rentals on its lake. After lunch, my family enjoyed rented paddleboards and had a great time!

This scenic restaurant is a must visit when visiting the park. The food is delicious, the portions are huge,the service is awesome. And where else can you eat a bison burger while overlooking a beautiful picturesque lake.

Overall a great place with a nice view of the lake. The bison burger was excellent but I felt that the loaded fries can turn into a bit of a soggy mess if you don’t eat them quickly. It might be better to ask for the loaded toppings on the side and then assemble as you eat.
