Hello friends, Dockside Seafood Shack has been under new management since 2022. We’re now known as Dockside Cafe. Yes I know it’s confusing—long story. Stop in sometime and I’ll tell you. 🙂
We’re a seafood cafe serving typical New England-style food with a New York flare.
We have the best staff on Cape. Rummikub Thursdays from 5pm-7pm. And Line dancing two Wednesdays a month. We are open through Labor Day. Please stop by for the best fish tacos you’ll ever try. The largest lobster rolls and the friendliest staff. What more could u want? Oh, waterfront dining…We got that! Best view on Cape.

If you would like to sit outside and check out some nice boats, all the whole having a good lunch or dinner, then this is your kind of place
Friendly staff makes your visit most pleasant.
Food is good to very good, if a bit on the pricy side
Shark bite sandwich, chicken sandwich and chicken tacos were especially good
Bag of Cape cod chips completes the meal
Can get busy when your boat docks, but service is quick, though picnic tables fill quickly
Worth a stop on a sunny afternoon.
They do have adult beverages.

I agree the forced tip a delivery fee to be handed a bag out the side door is a little unorthodox! I definitely didn’t like the hamburger bun for a breakfast sandwich but the eggs and bacon were cooked to perfection all in all it’s a great quick grab before you jump on the boat head out to the ocean the fruit cup was great but again the delivery fee and the forced tip for anything over $20 is a little much I feel that the employees know they’re getting tip regardless, so their effort isn’t top priority!

I had a fantastic experience at Dockside Cafe! I ordered an iced vanilla latte and the avocado toast on a gluten-free/vegan roll—both were absolutely delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming. Best of all, the view of Saquatucket Harbor is stunning—such a peaceful spot to enjoy a bite. Highly recommend! Great place for family!!

My husband and I decided to check this place out because I wanted a coffee and he wanted a quick bite. I was pleasantly surprised that they had coffee floats, which were absolutely delicious and he thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich! Also, who doesn’t love an afternoon coffee with a view of the ocean!

Pretty good! Kind of on the pricier side for other similar kinds of places, but quick service and great view out back.
Thought it was odd that the fish sandwich ($14) didn’t come with fries, and not a fan of the shredded lettuce on the hot lobster roll, but the lobster itself was phenomenal.

Had the most delicious dinner at dockside – and with hungry kids, I’m happy to report the food came out fast! The lobster roll and clam chowder were top notch, traditional but clean, and everything fried was crispy but not heavy or soggy. And a great beer and wine list too! Finally, great food to match the wonderful harbor views.

Beautiful day, beautiful view, nice shade over picnic tables. We got Angus burgers that were good, clam chowder that was good, lobster salad that was good. You order at the window, wait for your buzzer to go off, and then pick up at the window.

I grew up on Cape Cod, so firstly, don’t pee on my head and tell me it’s raining. Read the bottom of the first photo. If you pay your smiling faces YOURSELF, there’s no reason to add 15% to ALL ORDERS JUST FOR SOMEONE TO YELL YOUR NAME and DROP a tray on your table.
Sounds like you just want cheap labor and you want your patrons to pay them for you. Again, my family owned 4 restaurants on the Cape. I speak from experience.
We were a party of 4. Ordered normal things, nothing special. 2 orders came out. Then 5 minutes later the 3rd order came out. Then after my wife asked about the 4th order 15-20 minutes later, everyone else was done. 4th order still hadn’t come out.
When it finally DID come out? It wasn’t that great. That food is pedestrian at best. Not worth the time or money.
Avoid it, there are much better options in the area.
Horrible experience:

Of course MOST owners know that holding on to August staff is simply a matter of PAYING THEM! Not relying on a slight of hand surcharge on your menu prices to pay staff which is YOUR responsibility. A “tip” is added for good service. We didn’t get good service. On the contrary.
Of a party of 4, 3 people were DONE with their meal before the 4th was even served. COMPLETELY unacceptable.
In addition to that, my wife was met with eyerolls when she asked for the additional condiments which we had already asked for when placing our order.
Thanks for the offer of making it right, but there are MULTITUDES of better options in the area and we choose not to waste our time at your establishment and we hope this review helps others make the appropriate choice for them.

Best lobster roll of the entire trip! The owner is kind and friendly. A must stop while in the Cape.
