First time here, very cute beach side place. We were greeted with a young black lady that looked miserable and didn’t want to be there. Sat outside on dock and watched the boats go by. Listened to music with a nice frozen drink. Ordered the Mexican shrimp, there were maybe 3 whole shrimp cut into thirds. It was disappointing and tasted like tomato paste. Needed cilantro and more spices, 3/4 of plate were chips. The fish tacos were good, fish was fresh. Went to bathroom and there was toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor, the same hostess was coming out of stall playing on her phone and never cleaned up the mess. Maybe it wasn’t her job,no excuse to be lazy. It was hot today, muggy and miserable for the staff, thank you to the ones who still smiled and made the best of it.

Great atmosphere, great service, food ok. Skip the queso, it’s canned cheese, no flavor. If you’re looking for a place on the water, this is a good one.

We were on vacation and this place was like home away from home. Between the restaurant staff to the guests everyone made us feel welcome and were so nice. The perch sandwich was absolutely amazing and highly recommended by everyone and the grouper sandwicheswere just as amazing. The sunsets on the beach were breathtaking. I can’t wait to visit again soon, and hopefully longer next time. (Yes on my fish sandwiches I put ketchup…dont yell at me lol)

Overall, we had a good experience! The view of the lake is definitely the best part of this restaurant. It was absolutely beautiful! We just happened to be in the Port Clinton area, and we were looking for a seafood restaurant on Google. Dock’s Beach House came up and had good reviews and also a view of the lake, so we decided to give it a try. We were told upon entering that there was a 45-minute wait, we put our name in, and they called us after about 25 minutes, not too bad for a Sunday evening. The service was just okay, but it was very busy, and looking at the lake is so distracting that I hardly noticed the wait. The drink prices were not bad. I ordered a Bahama Breeze mixed drink, and it was just $4. My husband had the walleye dinner, and he said it was very good. I had a crab cake sandwich that was on special, it was good as well.

We have been going to Dock’s since they opened! We always have great food, amazing & fast service!! How can you beat the atmosphere? Today Matt waited on us- he has other seasons as well! He is friendly, efficient & attentive! Thank you Matt & The Dock’s Crew for always being on top of your game!!

Fun place, great service, food is good. Awesome beach, get the frozen blast drink with whipped cream on top! It’s a winner! Hang out feet in the sand… eat indoors, outdoors, and even a little of both. I am not a fish lover, the ribeye was great. . appetizers really good, too. Our group was 25 people and The servers did a great job cranking out the food and keeping our drinks flowing.

If you’re not from around here and just want to eat on the lake go ahead and stop in. The scenery is beautiful and when the outdoor area is open (which it was not for us) it seems like it would be lovely.
If you’re more of a local resident just wanting to enjoy a meal this review is for you. I was unpleasantly surprised by Dock’s. I was expecting a nice restaurant with sushi and many appealing seafood dishes. I had seen people posting sushi but apparently they don’t do that right now. We tried a couple of appetizers, a burger and the $32 perch dinner. Just go down the road to Jolly Roger’s for perch, it taste better to me and it’s cheaper. Apparently the burger didn’t come with any sides since we were charged for the cucumber salad and fries separately. The service was fast but had to remind them of a lot of things requested and not delivered.
I’m not going to say Dock’s made me sick but that’s the only meal I ate and woke up having to rush to the bathroom. I knew something I had a couple of bites of didn’t look right especially with all of the flies flying around while we were inside opposite the lake side of the restaurant.
My boyfriend said the burger was good and I gave him some perch which he liked as well. Other than that I cannot see myself ever going back when I can have better food for a better price in the other local restaurants. If we were just going out for drinks with friends it seems like it would be nice located on the lake but I can’t tell you if the beverages are worth it because I didn’t have one with my son dining with us.

This place is a great place to stop if you’re on a road trip! Their food is fantastic and well worth the wait (we were told 30 mins but it felt like 15!) the atmosphere is amazing and the view is great! The fries are awesome, the spicy ranch is amazing the burgers are perfect! The skippers perch was tender and fresh! The chips are just basic chips, great for picky kids but if you wanting to try new things go for the fries instead! The kids chicken tenders were crisp and moist!

First they said they would call us when our table was ready they never called us which turned out to be fine because they have an awesome waiting area where you can play on the beach and enjoy the amazing view. The food was delicious the wait staff where so nice but it took forever to get out food and when we ordered they were not busy. So yeah of we hadn’t had to wait so long on our food this place would be 5 stars. We will be back
