What an amazing Staff, location, atmosphere and everything in between. We all loved the food and the selection. The wait time was 100% beyond reasonable and they were extra accommodating! Since we ate outside with amazing sunset, I brought my 4-legged son & they couldn’t have been kinder! We ate so fast we forgot to take most of the pictures of the best entrée’s! Not necessarily a bad thing because now you’ll have to go and check it out

A nice venue on the water. With no reservation right at 6 pm we had a 45 min wait. But we were able to chill on the patio and have a drink. Ample seating while you wait. The atmosphere is great. The staff is very friendly. My meal was good. I’d go back.

Dock House has delicious food! My husband and I split the coconut shrimp as an appetizer, I had the baked sea bass, and he got the seafood pot pie. If we were just reviewing the food, it would be 5 stars!
The service however was definitely lacking. I understand that this is a casual dining atmosphere, but we ran out of beverages halfway through our meal, no one checked on us after our food arrived to see if we needed seasonings, and when we did finally get someone’s attention for a refill, they brought back a single drink for us to split.
We will likely be back, but maybe just for takeout.

Worst meal I’ve ever had at Holden Beach. I’m 99% sure the slaw in the shrimp tacos was bagged mix and expired. It came with chips that were straight out of a bag. Ordered a pomegranate martini that tasted like cough syrup, there was almost no pomegranate in it.

Bowl of she crab soup to start which was excellent. I had the crab cakes and they were phenomenal, NOT full of filler, but crabmeat and they were cooked to perfection! Grilled mac n cheese was different, but good. It’s something I’ll definitely try to replicate at home. My wife had the chicken and waffles, the waffles were unlike any I’ve tried before and were terrific, though the chicken tenders were very bland. Overall it’s a 9.5/10.

We arrived around 6:15 on a Friday evening and were pleasantly surprised to be immediately seated. We chose to sit outside downstairs, with a view of the boats coming in and out of the marina. Our server, while not overly warm at first, provided good recommendations! After placing our orders, there was a short wait before our food arrived. We were all happy with our orders!
The restaurant is fairly casual, and provides prompt seafood at a reasonable price.
Pros:
1.) Outdoor seating. The restaurant has ample outdoor seating with nice views. I was skeptical of the under the bridge location at first, but it was quite nice.
Cons:
1.) No drink menus. The restaurant had a full bar, and the server was able to provide us with a verbal draft list, but it was a bit odd not to have a printed drinks menu.
Overall, this place provided quality fried seafood at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy, but definitely hit the spot.

Love this Gem! Buffalo Shrimp appetizer was great. Flounder and blackened butterfly shrimp was fabulous. Service was great and was not crowded. The door host could be more personable – acted almost like we were disturbing him. Waitress was phenomenal!!

Very sad experience here! The food options are very limited and not that good. The service was pretty rough. I think our waiter only came by three times(once to take our drink and food order, to bring our drinks and to give us our check). We went our whole meal needing refills that never were even an option. Waiter was also very seemingly unimpressed and treated us as we were an inconvenience. Wish I could say we had a pleasant experience here but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
