Dobra Tea is such a gem. I had the almond cookie and the classic masala chai, and both were absolutely excellent. The chai was perfectly spiced—warming, balanced, and not overly sweet—and the almond cookie paired with it beautifully. Beyond the tea and treats, the place has amazing vibes: cozy, calming, and a great spot to slow down and enjoy the moment. Whether you’re a tea lover or just looking for a peaceful place to relax, Dobra Tea is well worth a visit.

I LOVE Dobra Tea. Everything they serve is delicious and carefully curated. I love to sit and read their tea encyclopedia while I sip on something delicious.
They are clearly passionate about tea and are focused on sourcing tea that is fair trade and sustainable as well.
The space is also quaint and beautiful with background music that never gets on your nerves.
The servers are excelled, kind and knowledgeable.
If I lived here, I would be in Dobra Tea every single day.

I have been here many times over the years when visiting. It’s such a fun experience and place to enjoy. They serve the tea traditionally like the country it comes from. The brown butter raspberry cake is a delicious pairing for the tea.

Let me first start off by saying that I am not a tea guy, not really. I mean, I like tea but I don’t claim to know a lot about it like my wife and her friends. But I really dig this place. The staff was very friendly and helped pick out a drink that my wife and I loved off of a really detailed tea menu. And the atmosphere is exactly what one would expect out of a tea bar.

One thing is for sure, I will definitely be coming back again to explore the various options and expand my tea knowledge!

Wide variety of tea, loved the vessels the teas were served in and going to the shoes-off area to enjoy the tea there.

every time I’ve had to venture out of my hotel I’ve found myself asking, “should I go to Dobra?”
It’s really that good. I’m grateful a friend recommended it. The environment, customer service and selection is wonderful. Thank you for curating a space that feels welcoming and comfortable, I’ll be telling anyone who tells me they’re headed down yonder

Tea with a foot in my rear! I’m shocked.
Angry, inadequate tea service, over charged, and served wrong food/drink in to-go containers. New owners……….- should check in.
When this teahouse opened up, my children were young. It was a great place to have a slow, floor hang, and tea ceremony with snacks. Through the years, I’ve sat at least hundred times in this space, for tea, lunch, dates, business meetings……
I moved just outside Asheville during Covid but still had an office on Patton in the WF building. My children would walk here while I worked, maybe twice a week. This was a safe and beautiful space.
Last night was only the second time since Helene that I’ve been, and this was meant to be special. I took my 14 yo for Valentine’s and she brought her fancy camera to take photos of us, and this nostalgic space. I drove an hour for this.
Never again.
1) We prepaid for food that was unavailable and wasn’t offered a refund. And you pre-tip which was 30% of my bill. So I paid an extra 40-50% for the rudeness to come.
2) What came to the table was wrong; both tea service and food. We were served in to-go boxes and when I asked for plates and the missing items, the staff openly smirked and grumbled about us, in front of my 14 yo. Apparently they start putting everything in to-go boxes an hour before closing. When I asked for the milk and honey that was meant to accompany my tea, the DISHWASHER told me we needed to promptly return the tea and honey dishes and looked at the door and said we close promptly at 8. We walked in at 7:20, paid the additional parking and ordered by 7:30.
I told them I was shocked, and that I didn’t think they were acting with the owners interest or historical intention and the dishwasher piped in again to play trivia over the owners name.
This isn’t how you let someone know there’s a new owner. But I let them know I won’t be back. There are other tea shops now.

Dobra Tea is an VIBE! I ordered the Forest Dragon tea, and it was unexpectedly delicious—earthy, complex, and truly unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Easily one of the best teas I’ve ever had. We also shared the almond cookie tea, which paired beautifully.

We sat in the back room with floor seating, and the entire tea service was a ritual of calm, presence, and beauty. The space is super chill and relaxing.

The staff were friendly. A must-stop in Asheville.

Wanted to grab some dessert after dinner at Zambra and chose this spot. We got 2 iced matcha lattes and 2 cookies. Everything was super authentic and delicious. The raspberry cookie was delightful! My husband loved the cardamom cookie as well. Matcha was delicious. Even the milks were good! I had mine with macadamia milk and he had his with oat milk. The decor is so unique and cozy! This place is such a gem! Can’t wait to be back

Only lost a stat because I ordered salad rolls and they told me after I paid they didn’t have them, kind of disappointing because it was a match combo for our peanut sauce on noodle salad. Orwell, the hummus platter was delish, tea was okay, they had so many other options though! Their salad was scrumptious and the atmosphere was top notch – cozy, comfortable and inviting. The table booth are near us had some really awesome women we chatted it up with. Such a nice social and friendly place. I strongly recommend. Healthy food, gluten free options if you have allergies etc. I’d go back if I was from around here!
