From a five-star to shortly to be a no-star for lack of transparency of what’s going on. It’s going to take some time to regain the loyalty of your clients after abandoning us all. I was told shortly after the doors closed that they would be closing for some renovations after a takeover by new owners. All the previous employees either left or were let go. At the very least, post something on the door and online.

not sure what’s been happening with them recently – can no longer reliably get a hold of them when wanting to place a take out order. they never answer or it returns that the call cannot be completed. it’s a shame, their food is great when you can actually order from them!
edit to say they’ve reopened but changed the supplier of their gluten free crust. 🙁 it’s now much smaller, but still priced how it was originally. very disappointed!

Great wood fired pizza when they get it right. Not consistent however. Sometimes it is burned way too much. Don’t get me wrong, I understand wood fired pizzas have some blackened areas but some of these pizzas were incinerated with a blowtorch. Also, not sure why some nights they wear a blindfold when topping the pizza because the cheese was thrown in various areas and other areas on the pizza were left bare, same for the sauce and toppings, scattered with no even spread. Also, the occasional large crust bubble that shifts everything around. Overall, good pizza but not consistent in taste and quality.

Best local wood fired pizza I’ve had. Convenient location, friendly staff and great service.
The pizza was flavorful with a hint of smokiness from the oven.
I had the Philly and my wife had a pepperoni.

Seating isn’t my fave and kinda heavy in smoke smell which is natural. Both times I ate there, I felt they were a LITTLE skimpy on toppings, but since I didn’t take pics of the first time, I’ll just talk about this time.
Wishing there were a few more toppings .. namely the mushroom on my sunshine special, I think it’s called, which was a add on. And in general, for the other pizza. Other than that, it was pleasing to look at. When I took a bite, I tasted burnt .. i was confused, so I looked under, and it’s darker than it should be. Is it edible … yes. Surprisingly, not all the bites had a burnt taste… try figuring that out based on the pics. Overall, they were tasty. And I’ll go back. I understand those ovens are like 700 degrees, and seconds in it make a difference. I’m not mad even with some of those burnt bites. Still tasty.

Finally a real pizza! Where is live it’s just frozen pizza crusts with toppings but this place is an experience. Park your car and it smells like your smoker is cooking something delicious. Go inside, order and receive something delicious . It’s byob which is even better. Will be coming back.

Has wonderful sandwiches and pizza, the margherita is my favorite (with some extra basil). Had a really nice server that brought over a box of coloring pictures and crayons for my son.

Absolutely delicious, I’m from Detroit and was traveling through Pittsburgh last weekend and decided to stop here for lunch. So lucky I did best pizza I have had in a long time. The wood fire does so much for the pizza night and day difference, FYI they don’t charge for toppings.

03.04.2026 EDIT: dO just reopened this week and I have to say it is even better than before. Our favorite part — the customer service! Everyone was so friendly and apologized multiple times for our wait (which wasn’t even long). The restaurant is SO CLEAN! Pizza is still our favorite and still phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back!
