Bai Mai Thai is a Thai family-owned restaurant, proudly established in 2009. Our vision has always been to create a place where guests can enjoy delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared Thai cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. When we think of food that is fresh and healthy, we naturally think of green leaves – a symbol of freshness, balance, and life. Inspired by this idea, we wanted a name that was both meaningful and easy to remember. That inspiration became Bai Mai Thai. In Thai, “Bai Mai” means “leaves,” reflecting our commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. At the same time, it can also be playfully interpreted as “Buy My Thai.” This combination of meaning and wordplay perfectly represents who we are yet creative and invit

Family owned. My favorite Thai restaurant in the city! The customer service is impeccable they are so warm and friendly and then on top of that the food is always amazing. Portions are great too. If you like to sweat a bit or you like it mild they have heat to accommodate your palette. If you’re stopping by Detroit and in need of some Thai this is your spot and it’s just a hop skip and jump from the Dequindre Cut or the Detroit River Walk if you need to walk off your meal.

I had lunch January 6 at around 2:30. I appreciate the lunch prices but my chicken pad Thai was so oily! The egg in the pad Thai was fried to a crispy brown. Very unattractive. Tastes like eating an oil slick. I think whoever was in the kitchen was overwhelmed by the lunch rush get them some help to push out better food.

My bf and I have been here multiple times and each time, the food was always so flavorful and fresh. The waitress there is literally the sweetest and very knowledgeable about the menu. This is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to and I would highly recommend coming here.

Fresh food, not fast food. The Pad Ped was amazing. The food can be cooked to your spice level preference. I ordered mine medium hot, and it was perfect. No refunds if you ordered it too spicy. They cook to order, so have some patience.

Ordered via DoorDash on a Saturday night at dinner time, but I had my food within an hour. They were very smart and wrapped the dish with plastic wrap, which kept the noodles hot and moist! I wish all Thai restaurants did this.

The portion was huge! Well worse the price. They also honored my special requests for the dish. There was so much food I ate it over two days.

The spice and flavor was excellent! And the noodles were cooked perfectly.

Nice little Thai place tucked away in a shopping center. They have a large menu and it seems like every dish can be customized to your tastes. Highly recommend the pad thai with tamarind sauce, great flavors!

Not so authentic if you asking me as South East Asian person who loves Thai Food so much. I ordered their Thai Fried Rice, thai curry puff and seafood tom yum.

The thai fried rice to wet-ty and too much soy sauce. Curry puff too blant and the dough not so tasty. The seafood tom yum kinda a savior for my visit. Feels so fresh, sour, sweet and spicy perfectly.

But, eventho the food not so great, I still give four stars because the service as usual, Thai people never failed on giving the best service in F&B industry. They are the best !!!

Always very quick with filling online orders and really really good portions for the price! They also very clearly label what dishes are vegan. I like the vegan fried rice, and also the vegan green curry is good! The spice levels can get pretty high, so I recommend ordering a level below what you’re thinking of getting if you don’t want your dish too spicy.

I work in the area so this used to be the place to go, but I was off work and I drove all the way to Downtown Detroit because I was craving Thai food. I order Pad Thai noodles, got home, the noodles were stuck together I had to add water to loosen them up, I had one shrimp, two piece of crab meat and two scallops, no vegetables and the noodles were hard. I called and she said she would give me some extra sauce when I explained I’m not driving back 30 minutes for extra sauce she said I’ll give you 15% off your next order, what? I told her but the food I have is not edible. I told her I was doing a review and she chuckled wow welp they have lost my service and most likely my job service as well.
