Food was good, music was a little loud. I like K-pop but it was a little spicy in my ear. Definitely coming back! Dinner date for 4!

DK Sushi is an absolute gem. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by its eclectic energy—an atmosphere that manages to feel both surreal and inviting. The vibe is unlike anywhere else, elevated by perfectly curated 80’s beats that set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
I ordered a glass of wine, the rainbow roll, and miso soup, and every bite (and sip) was spot on. The sushi was fresh and vibrant, layered with care and flavor; the miso was soothing and perfectly balanced. Service was seamless—ordering through the app felt modern and efficient, and before I knew it, food and drinks appeared as if by magic.
What I especially love is that DK Sushi delivers more than just a meal—it’s an experience. I left already planning my next visit, and next time I’ll be fully embracing the Japanese style by dining on the floor.
A must-visit for anyone craving delicious sushi with personality, energy, and an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.

The restaurant is set up nice. There are tables you can take shoes off and eat at as if you are in Japanese place. And tables with normal chairs. You order by qr codes but the server was helpful. I had the beef bulgogi.

Gluten-Free + Celiacs, STAY AWAY! Even the SUSHI RICE IS NOT GF!! This is not traditional, they add gluten to make things cheaper and/or easier. Sounds like lazy cooking to me, which means they take shortcuts elsewhere. This is NOT on their menu or website, so I sat down about to order and luckily an employee was bringing our waters when he overheard I was gluten free. I’ve been eating sushi for 20 years, gluten free for 18 yrs, Ive never heard of sushi rice that wasn’t gf. What an easy way to alienate a whole group of people that otherwise would be able to eat at your restaurant. Not to mention, if you dont have that info available, you are making people sick. This was my second attempt to eat here.
My first attempt to eat here, 4 of us came in about 50mins before closing. They told us they were out of sushi and basically most of the menu, and that it was essentially our fault for coming so close to closing. This was said with so much attitude, I was ready to never try this place again. Cute spot, but unfortunately my intuition was correct.
I won’t be back here and I will be posting on every gluten free/celiac website to make sure people aren’t unknowingly hurting their bodies coming here.

This is so random, but my partner and I were in the middle of moving out of our house and someone from Facebook Marketplace had come an hour early to our house after we had just sat down to eat here. The restaurant was so sweet and said they would hold our table and they did!! If that isn’t just good humans <3
We got back an hour before closing and they had run out of a few menu items, so just a heads up if you’re really set on something to book a resy and go for an earlier dinner. But I didn’t mind because it meant I would try something new and also that their ingredients are fresh.
Highly recommend trying this place, it’s good food, people, and a cozy atmosphere!

Parking gets crowded quickly, around 6-7pm are the busiest, I recommend booking ahead if party bigger than 2!
You order via QR code, but the servers will come by very often to make sure you’re ordering as it’s a small place.
Rolls and appetizers were very good. They have like every Japanese beer, the Lucky Cat and the Matcha IPA were good!

We stopped by on a Monday evening and were seated in their lovely tatami room. It was a cozy dining experience. Ordering was extremely pleasant too. All we had to do was scan the table’s QR code, pay in advance, and wait for food to come to us (which didn’t take long despite the restaurant being busy!) When an item was out of stock, the server kindly informed us and refunded it immediately. I’m glad I stopped back by DK Sushi! ❤️

In Austin for a quick trip and wanted to grab some rolls. Since I didn’t have high expectations it was ok. Standard rolls and average taste. A bit heavy on the rice but at least the fish was decent size. I also ordered the Japanese gyoza, which is traditionally pan fried but they steamed it. Sometimes traditional is better

This place is so special! The food is so fresh & delicious & I love the atmosphere they have curated with the decorations & seating arrangements. And it’s so homey. We find ourselves coming here at least two times a month. An absolute must if you are looking for authentic Korean food in Austin!
