I got their “Eat Your Salmon” for $23. It was very good; the salmon was fresh and they give you a variety of dipping sauces including spicy mayo. The staff was friendly and quick.

I typically eat dinner at DK once a week before class. However, recently I’ve noticed the quality of the rice has really gone down. I’m not sure if it’s old rice or re-heated, but it’s mushy, chewy, dry and just not appetizing.

The sushi is usually great and I love the miso soup. This is a pricey place but the options and bentos are a nice variety. I hope they iron the rice consistency soon.

To the chef running DK sushi do you have an item on your menu called pickle cucumber, and chili the cucumbers are they’re just raw cucumbers with some chili dressing on the side. As the chef is well aware. Pickling cucumbers is a food preservation process where cucumbers are submerged in a salt-and-water brine or an acid solution, typically vinegar, along with spices etc. The feedback was given to person at the counter, but his response was almost like I was incorrect and what I was saying..

Stopped by to ordered take out and loved it! Everything was prepared quickly and the salmon tasted very fresh. Great food for a good price. Definitely one of the best sushi places around University City. 🙂

High quality fish arranged in to-go boxes for a fair price. At $27, I got 3 rolls, 6 pieces of sushi, an avocado, fish, rice salad, and edamame. 3 rolls at this quality is typically around $20 alone so I’m not sure what the bad reviews about price and quality are. Funny enough, this is actually the best quality sushi you will find in UCity, and it’s takeout.

I’ve always had delicious food here and the staff, especially the lady running the shots, is so professional and good at their jobs. I appreciate having a nice spot like this in the area. The salmon over rice is >>>>

This miso soup is 4 bucks. I mean, it was pretty good Miso soup, but…. I’ll leave this here and you can decide whether you want to go here or not.

For the high price, the quality is terrible.

The seaweed is rubbery, the rice is low quality and overly starchy, the fish does not look or taste fresh, my edamame was undercooked and had no salt.

They just package low quality sushi in a modern looking box to try to justify the price, but it is so not worth it. Even with the boxes though, they are super inflexible and don’t let you make substitutions, even if you’re willing to pay extra.

There are much higher quality sushi places in Center City, and even if you live in University City like I do, you’re better off ordering delivery than going to DK Sushi.

I don’t usually review restaurants, but this was terrible.

This is pure utility sushi. Not much variety in fish (pretty much only tuna, salmon and shrimp), no special rolls, small pieces, and a completely pointless mushroom roll. (I know vegetarians exist, but if you’re a vegetarian in Franklin Food Hall, Goldie is right there.) The taste is just ok…the tuna in the roll was a little dull in color. I gave this place one extra star for the rice/fish/avocado side in the chef boxes which was very good with the sauce they give you. I’ve never been to the actual Double Knot in Center City, but this offshoot isn’t the greatest reflection of it’s reputation.

Salmon over rice and avocado is really good ($8). I will definitely go back. Quick place to grab sushi to go. I want to try a chef box next time.

I will say menu is limited but if you find something you like it’s worth it. I didn’t try to customize anything.
