After visiting the Lodge factory store/museum, we were ready for lunch. Dixie Freeze was nearby and convenient. It isn’t fancy, but the food and service were great. No complaints. If we’re ever in the area again, we will probably eat there again.

The people who work here and the service are amazing. The food is also great. I wasn’t sure about the cranberry sauce being on top of my chicken and dressing, but it was really good. Also, inflation has not hit the Dixie Freeze. For a second I thought the bill for three of us was actually for one person. A must stop for good local food served by great people.

I usually pick from the main menu. From time to time, I may pick from the daily menu . But you can’t go wrong when it comes to the menu. Dixie Freeze is a historic monument of our town . It was her before I was born, and I pray my great great grandchildren will get to enjoy the taste and experience of this place . With the same taste and atmosphere I’ve grown up with. It’s a true time capsule . So come and take a step into the past as many times as you can .
