This College Station fixture is a must-visit for visitors and a regular stop for locals. Be sure to take a Sharpie or something to carve your name in the tables. The food is as good as you’d expect from a dive bar like this. Haven’t had anything I wouldn’t try again. Burgers, fries, tater tots… Enjoy!!

Come here for the nostalgia of college station. Don’t come for food. It’s uninspired and I guess they are used to people coming regardless of quality. $12 for a plate of fries and cheese on it. No chives, jalapeño, or bacon. Burgers came out warm and cheese not melted while the Pattie’s are on the grill.

It’s definitely not worth paying dang near $15 for a burger and $8 for cheese fries ~ (called tiajuana fries ) I’m not a cheap person . I will travel and even pay big money for what I want to eat . And they charge additional for toppings like grilled onions when onions already come on your burger . (Crazy to charge just because you request grill)

Great bar and food spot. Takes a little long for the food to come out on a busy night (which is expected) but this place is a national staple. If you’re in College Station, Dixie Chicken is a must for places to visit.

The chicken strips were just ok. They seem to have come from a frozen package, instead of being freshly battered as you would expect from a well known chicken restaurant. The onion rings were great. I think the visit was mostly for the experience of the atmosphere. It’s a pretty neat place, but it was very busy, crowded, and loud.
