Everything at Ditty’s was excellent! The place was super neat and clean, and the service was great. Really enjoyed my visit — highly recommend!

Had stopped here on other road trips, for gas and snacks. Fun little convenience store. Decided to have breakfast inside the cute little old diner portion in the back of the store. Waitress was real nice. Coffee was from a pump that the waitress used to pump into the cup. $2.50 a cup. Wasn’t the worst or the best I’ve had. By the time the add ons were added to the biscuits and gravy it got a little pricey. $21.00 for one plate. Biscuits were a little too soft, gravy was ok. Bacon was crispy and very good. Eggs were cooked good. Waitress was very nice and had very good service.

Update: Unfortunately, I have to amend my review. We called a few hours ago and was told to have our order in before 8:30 because they close the kitchen at 8:30. They close at 9. We called and it rang and rang. Called the store and they got ahold of the kitchen. They weren’t going to cook anything because they had already cleaned up the kitchen….before 8:30. We pushed for hours to get here. They did offer day-old chicken in the store. We spent over $80 last time….I guess our business wasn’t worth sticking to their word.

Money is how you support a business. I guess we’ll be supporting someone else tonight and when we’re in the area.

The food was amazing. Keely was a sweetheart. The perfect “bartender”/waitress. She kept our drinks replenished and listened and talked with us about different topics. Yes. It’s a bit high in price, compared to other places…but I tell you….you can taste the quality of the food. I don’t think I’ve ever had any better cheese curds. The chicken fried steak was amazing, and it wasn’t greasy. My husband oohhh and awwwwed over the steak. It was just all around a good experience. I would definitely recommend it. ( Update: Sadly, not anymore)

I’m pretty picky with a discerning palate. Don’t judge a book by its cover. The food here is great! I had the hamburger steak. Sorry I already started eating it before I thought to take a picture. Better than mom used to make!

A 1923 Ford Model T sits in the ceiling and the bartender can tell the story of how it ended up there. The restaurant sits in the back of the convenience store, but the aura is so different that you forget you’re in a gas station once you’re seated. Service is polite and prompt, and the food is pretty good – particularly the potato salad. The prices can add up very quickly however as the menu price only rejects the sandwich. Once you tack on a side and a drink, you’re looking at $20+ per person.

We stopped for a delicious lunch on our way to Michigan in a snowstorm. What a warm, cozy, lovely stop for delicious brisket and potatoes. It was perfect until I realized in Sioux City I had left my very special scarf in my booth. Imagine my joy when I called and had the good fortune to reach Victoria who found my scarf and agreed to mail it to me. I will be forever grateful to her. In these days of subpar customer service Ditty’s reigns supreme. Go here and eat and tip generously. They deserve our support and our dollars. Thank you, Victoria!

The omelet was excellent. The service was great. There is plenty of parking for trucks. There is even free Wi-Fi. I would have given it 5 stars, but it only has one men’s commode, and it needed attention. I told the c-store cashier, but they didn’t seem interested.

This has been my only means of sustenance due to being broken down, my truck next door at Overweg. The atmosphere is very kind, friendly, and welcoming. I’ve had the same server for the last several days, Lori, and she is a very warm and kind person. I never knew this place existed, but any time I get through going forward, I will make a point to pop in. The food is great, the drinks are even better.

I liked this place. Food was very good, server was very friendly and sweet. For a stop to have a break from driving this is a good spot. Lots of room for trucks. New style pumps for diesel fuel, and price is good. (Parking lot gets muddy when wet).
