Fantastic experience at Dishoom.
It was more than we expected. We visited London and heard about this place through social media and friends. This place did not disappoint. The staff were friend and attentive, the atmosphere was very authentic, and most of all the food was AMAZING!
Definitely would recommend to visitors and locals of the London area.
Already book marked to go back the next time we visit London from Canada.

ABSOLUTELY worth the hype. Food is absolutely bursting with flavor and spices. There’s a wide range of variety on the menu, as well as some unique tastes, such as the Kashmiri chili ice cream (i couldn’t believe spicy ice cream could exist until I tried this!!). Definitely a must-visit when you come to London, but definitely book a reservation ahead of time, as this is a popular spot that fills quickly and will have a wait time if you don’t book ahead of time.

We ordered the black daal, roasted corn, charred lamb chops and chicken ruby. Everything was absolutely delicious but my favourite was the lamb chop. The lamb was beautifully cooked and well marinated, the meat was not gamey at all! The chicken ruby was tender and a gentle spice to it. The black daal was indulgent and amazing to have with the naan. The restaurant has such a cozy decor with soothing lighting and service is stellar. Customers can sit at a bar whilst waiting for a table and enjoy drinks (the chai is a must try!!). Definitely recommend visiting this place when in London.

The food at Dishoom is absolutely delicious — spicy, flavourful, and hits all the right spots. Chili chicken and chicken ruby were outstanding and pairs well with the naan (pic shown is one portion). I’d come back to the UK just for this. Easily one of the best Indian meals I’ve had. Service is efficient and friendly.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Dishoom Kensington, made even more special by the outstanding service from Deven.
It was my partner’s birthday and Deven went above and beyond to make the evening feel really personal and memorable. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared that we were enjoying ourselves. The surprise birthday cake at the end was such a thoughtful touch and really topped off the night.
The food was exceptional from start to finish. We shared:
• Masala prawns
• Gunpowder potatoes
• Mattar paneer
• Monkfish curry
• Black daal
• Basmati rice
• Garlic naan and cheese naan
Every dish was packed with flavour and beautifully cooked — honestly some of the best Indian food we’ve had in London.
Between the amazing food, the warm atmosphere, and Deven’s excellent service, it was a perfect evening and a birthday we won’t forget. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending Dishoom Kensington to everyone we know.

line to get seated. The atmosphere of this place is truly amazing and the service is flawless. My boyfriend and I ordered something and was a little surprised at how spicy it was and the waiter comped us with a free appetizer as an apology which was extremely generous. The food was good but I do feel as if for the price, it isn’t very special and that most of London has great Indian food. If you are looking for a more upscale Indian restaurant then definitely check out, but if you are looking for something authentic maybe just go

Will always come back! This place is one of my favourite places to dine in Kensington. All the things I tried so far were incredibly delicious. I’m a huge fan of the interior architecture that comes from the Barkers Art Deco design. I love it. The ambiance perfect. The staff, always welcoming, always caring. I went there several times over the years including for breakfast, it never disappointed me.

Had a great meal at Dishoom Kensington. The biryani was solid, the okra fries were nicely crisp, and the masala prawns and chicken tikka were both really well done—full of flavour and cooked just right. The chocolate chai was excellent, and they even offered free refills, which was a nice touch. Overall, very satisfying food and a place I’d happily return to.

Having heard a lot before coming in; our expectations were high but met beautifully. The service was immaculate and quick. The food was perfectly seasoned and left us wishing we had room to order more. Cannot say enough good things, will be back!

The interior of the restaurant is an attractive Art Deco style. The service is pleasant and semi-formal but I do get irritated by each person asking, “How are you doing today?” or “How is your day going?”. A simple ‘Hello’ would be better.
I was a bit disappointed with the food, although my wife enjoyed hers very much. I had been expecting a sensational Indian take on breakfast. My omelette was fine but not memorable. The bacon naan didn’t impress. My wife’s eggs on chili cheese toast was good, as was her mint tea. The highlight, though, was the bottomless house chai which was spicily delicious.
Overall a little expensive for what it was.
