We stumbled upon this place when we had an hour to burn before our dinner reservation and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of our weekend! Really great vibe – think Swiss chalet with live music, lots of happy people and an amazing beer/cider selection. Loved the self serve situation – very unique and it allowed me to try a few sips of many things until I settled on the one I wanted. Highly recommend!

Fantastic afternoon on the patio with live music. Great atmosphere with so many self-serve taps. Good selection of beers, ciders and seltzers. Easy to use tap card system. Friendly staff with lots of fun games available to use.

Great spot for music, beers, & your favorite pup! we stopped by. It was quite warm out, but they had plenty of water fans and pup cups for dogs! Very nice fenced out to your courtyard with live music and menu – excellent cheese curds! We also love the self poor wall, where you could pay by the ounce and try a variety of beers & ciders. We will be back!

We love this place.!! A very fun concept to serve yourself, which brings added convenience. But there are staff members there to help with food orders and any questions. Live music is a great added touch and you can bring your dog on the patio.

This was my first time visiting this place. (Octoberfest) The ladies at the mini bar
(not sure what they really call it) were delightful. They not only explain everything clearly, they also show you how to get your many selections of beer.Im not an avid drinker. This place was so new to me. I’m not sure how many different kinds/ flavors they have but there are so many! Videos below! I don’t believe I’ve given any place a 5 star review until now. The place is pleasing to the eye as well as being welcoming. The feeling/vibe is very comfortable and friendly. We had a lot of fun. Definitely check this place out.

A great self serve taproom in the heart or downtown. They had a good beer selection with lots of local choices as well as a small food menu for appetizers and a few sandwiches. The cheese curds were awesome. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and served with ranch. Most Saturdays and Sundays they offer live music. Great prices too. Hanging out and having beers for a few hours the bill was about $35 for two people. We came back a second time and had a couple beers, cheese curds, and pretzel bites and the bill was right around $35 again. Great value and fun atmosphere. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Dirty Dog Taphaus this weekend! We loved it so much that we visited it twice during our visit to New Glarus! Great indoor and outdoor atmosphere! Loved the self serve tap beers – great variety!! And the decor…the best!!! Met one of the owners who was great to chat with about the history of his bar and also great suggestions to do while in town!!
