This is a special place on so many levels. The taste of the food is excellent as everything is freshly prepared from whole foods. The staff are friendly and helpful. The vibe of the place is a perfect reflection of the name… Cool, eclectic, and inviting. Finding locally owned and well produced business like this gives one confidence that small business is still the heartbeat of Tennessee and the life blood of our country.
The breakfast options are an excellent variety of omelets, biscuits, and other items made to order. Always delicious every time I have visited.

Arrived too late for breakfast, and it was a shame because there were some tasty sounding dishes on the menu. I ended up getting the scrambled tater, and it was delicious and loaded with goodness. I definitely recommend it. The onion rings here are fabulous! Hambuger was mighty good also. There is not much room inside to eat, but there is a nice, quiet pavilion across the street.

Amazing food, great service and a charming atmosphere! We went on Saturday with 4 people and were greeted so warmly. The food – OMG SO GOOD! We had a mushroom Swiss burger, a bacon burger, turkey sandwich, club sandwich, friend green tomatoes and a couple orders of fries. Everything was perfect. I almost always get a club sandwich whenever I go out but this was on another level! We literally CAN NOT wait to go back!!!

Dirt Hippie is not just a restaurant. It’s an experience! The food – while having a limited menu – is out of this world! Don’t come expecting to have fine dining. Instead, put on your best tee shirt and jeans and stroll on in. Jimmie fixes a special most days to augment the list of choices written on the wall, and she offers a good ole breakfast, better than your momma fixed if you grew up around here. Come by and start up a conversation with the regulars, and they’ll tell you what’s good to eat.
