This is what happens when you have an owner who has no idea what they’re doing and doesn’t care about customer satisfaction
The food was average , maybe even slightly better.
Kathy, the manager, is probably the only reason they get a single customer.
Horrendous service for our party by a woman who never introduced herself, never made any sort of personal connection and jsut yelled out the food orders when she brought our food out instead of remembering who ordered what.
Items were I correct and some dinners came out as long as 15 min after others.
Even salad took 30 min to arrive and room them almost 10 min to hand them all out.
They didn’t even bring spoons or forks for dessert.
The owner didn’t want to talk and instead kept pushing off the conversation. Kathy was great to work with but as they say, it’s only lipstick on a pig.

I have been a long time DiPalma customer I have a family of 5 and we get pizza about once a week. Tonight they gave me a pizza and charged me for toppings and it was not acceptable. Toppings are expensive, and we should get lots of toppings that we pay for. Half of the pizza had 1 slice of cherry pepper. I called them and told them about it, texted them the picture, they said they would call me back. No call. Attaching a picture. I think they really are cheap with their toppings as shown in the picture. I will not be returning to Diapalmas.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Recently went to this restaurant and watched as the pizzas were being made while I waited. I watched one of the cooks run his hands through his hair after putting the pizza in the oven. Didn’t think anything of it. Figured he might wear gloves when prepping. Well I got home with my order and found not 1 but 2 pieces of hair baked into the crust. Disgusting. Not sure why they don’t need hats or nets. I’d avoid.

Wonderful atmosphere at the restaurant. The pizza has a thin and crunchy base, and they offer unique flavors. Highly recommend dining in.
The only thing is…the toppings for this pizza slipped right off. We had to scoop them back on even after the cheese cooled. It was still delicious, just wasn’t ideal.

Charged $7.00 for garlic bread. It’s bread with garlic. Been to a lot of fancy restaurants in my life, but I never had bread with butter and garlic for $7.00

Don’t order from here, food takes over an hour and a half to get to you but they will not call you and tell you that, if call them to inquire they’ll keep say that the driver should be soon, food came very cold.

This was a very great experience! Me and my fianceé truly enjoyed our experience at DiPalma’s. We got the dinner for 2 special, which is such a great deal. It’s perfect for a couple. The entree and pasta menu is open to you, along with a soup or salad, AND–get this–a bottle of wine It was such a delight; we had a rosé. The service there was great, our waitress was very patient with our decision process; we took a lil bit. I had the chicken piccata. It was very good! It’s came with a perfectly sized side bowl of pasta with sauce. The sauce was sweet, and the perfect compliment to the dish. My fianceé had penee with olive oil, chicken, and broccoli. This was a great size for her. She had half and took the rest home with her. She really liked this dish! She said it was light, and I tried it and the chicken had an extremely good flavor. Powerful! Afterwards, we decided on buying a dessert. We ended up getting the chocolate lava cake. This was the only shortcoming. The ice cream was a lil frozen; it was too “icey”. It was quite hard as well. I imagine it was because of coronavirus (we went in September) that the ice cream could have been stored for a lil bit, which is understandable. The chocolate cake was delicious though! Very moist and not overly sweet or too rich. A lot of the time I have a hard time finishing this kind of dessert at other restaurants. I had no problem finishing it with my fianceé!
All in all, I would say this is a fantastic local restaurant in Southbury with a very nice, classy, yet relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this Italian restaurant.

My family really likes the Buffalo chicken pizza. The fried mozzarella app is also good. I placed my order online and it was ready on time. I’d eat here again the next time I’m back in Southbury.
