It’s pizza day! We heard about this place, so today is the day to try it.
Okay here we go… Very squared away restuarant. When u walk in u can tell that the staff takes care of the place, very clean.
Order up, lunch special two pizza slices with two toppings and a drink(just over $10) good price let’s see what we get. The guy behind the counter said u can get each slice with two different toppings. Nice change from having to get what other pizza places make u get. Hmmm, waiting on our order. OMG , the slices are huge and are loaded with toppings (see pics below). It was a struggle to eat that much pizza, but I gotter done(my stomach is not happy with me right now). Good pizza good value and great service. We will put Dions on our return list for sure.
P.S. real nice added touch, when I went up to pickup our order the same young man noticed my US Navy ball cap. Said to make sure to ask for the veterans discount on our next visit. For me I’ll take a nice discount any day.
P.P.S. if u have seen my other post from Italian food places, u know I’m a meatball snob. They had them on the menu, so next time I’m gonna try them…watch out Dion!

We had high expectations due to our first experience at 2721 location being excellent; the pizza was flavorful (not salty) with fresh ingredients. So we placed the exact same order at 6810 about a week from our first visit and our experience was underwhelming. I had one serving and threw out the leftovers. I will give them one more chance just in case this experience is the exception. I landed on a rating in the middle until next time…

I called an hour ahead to place a carry out order on a less than busy weekday. Even so, I still had to wait after my arrival since the pizza was not prepared in a timely manner. (My elderly parents were waiting in the car.) They initially tried changing me for 2 specialty pizzas; and in the background I could hear one of the managers or employees bickering after I politely inquired on how much longer it would be. Overall, it was a less than average experience for a supposed higher quality establishment in Lubbock. I’m greatly disappointed and will choose another local business for pizza in the future. #toomanyyoungstudentswithattitude

Always the best! Husband had the lunch special. Pizza and salad. Always so fresh and delicious. Me, I had a pastrami sourdough bread sandwich. Bread was warm and fresh. They do toast the bread roll, it if you have issues with crunchy bread ask them not to toast it.

Dion’s makes such great pizza! I ordered a large carnivore. It was amazing! So much meat on top. It was a little pricier than the other pizza places, but so worth it! The dough is really delicious, too. And the large pizza is bigger than other places. I just loved it and so did my family. We don’t always choose pizza from Dion’s, but when we do, everyone feels like it is a special treat. Oh and don’t forget the salad. We love the family sized chef’s salad. It is fresh and they really add the ingredients. Sometimes that is all we get. A family sized Chef’s salad comes with ham and eggs and bacon and cheese and croutons and lettuce and tomatoes and I am sure I’m missing other things, but you get the picture. It is really something. And their Ranch dressing is like no other. You can buy it by the bottle, but they also give you plenty with their salads. We like to keep it on-hand at home, so we just add a bottle to our order. It is reasonably priced, too.
If you haven’t ever had Dion’s, you are not going to regret trying it. Do it tonight. Or stop by at lunch and get a slice. Seriously.

I’m giving this restaurant four stars. The food was very good! The salads looked fresh and we’re very appetizing. The garlic cheese bread came out hot and very good. The wait staff seemed very nice and very eager to help. We were checked on multiple times during our visit. The bathrooms were nice and clean! My biggest concern was that the tables were not bust in a prompt manner. It was very hard to find a clean table and we were in the restaurant around 4:00. It seemed to me many people were standing by that could have helped to bus tables. But overall our experience was very good and we enjoyed eating at Dion’s.

This place is awesome!! You need to update the one’s in Albuquerque & Rio Rancho NM lol. I’ve been going to Dion’s Pizza 6410 82nd St every Friday for 5months since i found it. Love it. Thanks for having a bit of New Mexico in Texas. Definitely be going too both the stores!!

Great nice hot pizza, good toasty sandwich! Love this place from the food to the service. Some kids ran in as we were leaving and started screaming up the place, but that’s nothing on Dions. I would definitely recommend for some quality pizza and sandwiches.

I have been eating at Dion’s pretty much since they first opened up. The quality of their food and service has always been top notch for a pizza chain. My favorite is their Dion’s Special Pizza. I could hurt myself eating that it is so delicious. I also love the great deal they have on salads. Their family size salads are big enough to feed four to six people with some lift over, and the amazing thing is that they come in a sealable bowl with two nice serving forks that you can take home and add to your kitchen utensils if you so desire. And they do not skimp on ingredients in their salads either. The best thing is that the price of their family size salad is about the same thing as you would pay another restaurant for a entrée salad for one person.
Whenever I am in Lubbock, and have a hankering for pizza, there simply is no question as to where I will go. I am going to Dion’s.

Great salads and pizza. We had the family Greek salad with 4 people as an appetizer and it was huge and very tasty. We shared a 14 inch carnivore pizza which was amazing. More than enough food for four people. We will definitely be back to try some other pizzas.
