Stopped into Dinner for Two for their Happy Hour (4–6 PM) and had a great experience. We sat at the bar and were lucky to have Zack, one of the best bartenders/servers we’ve had—attentive, friendly, and fun to talk to.

We tried the salmon fish and chips with truffle and garlic fries—so good! The stuffed steak nachos had great flavor and a nice spicy kick. The crab balls were just okay, but still enjoyable.

The entire staff was friendly and you can tell they enjoy working there. Sitting at the bar gave us a front-row seat to a little culinary show in their small but impressive kitchen.

Everything on the Happy Hour menu—even the drinks—was just $10, which is an amazing deal in Santa Fe. We’ll definitely be back!

Dinner for Two is such a nice, cozy, and charming spot. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting.

The tableside Caesar salad prepared by Nikki was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and a fun touch that really sets the experience apart. Both the stroganoff and chicken enchiladas were terrific — hearty, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented.

We also recommend coming for the happy hour cocktails… creative, well-made, and a great value. You won’t be disappointed!

It was a lovely experience all around with great service, great food and atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for a relaxed, delicious night out in Santa Fe.

My husband took me here for my birthday while visiting Sante Fe. Dinner For Two was amazing. The food and the service was excellent. I had the Filet Mignon and my husband had the ribeye and lobster tail. The steaks were cooked exactly how we asked. (So juicy and flavorful) The drinks were good. We also ordered the table Caesar salad and the Banana Foster for dessert, both made the experience a 10/10. Eli was our waiter and he did a phenomenal job. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Sante Fe ❤️

This place was such a disappointment. Bread was dry and stale. Bubble margaritas looked great but tasted terrible. My boyfriends ribeye was not flavorful and had too
much fat. My dish the salmon, crab cakes, and coconut shrimp was mediocre at the very best. Atmosphere was not impressive. Will not be returning. Wish I would have not wasted my time eating here. Completely disappointed.

Dinner for two was the most disappointing restaurant I think I have ever been to. Walking in felt like a club. They had the table side Caesar salad sitting at the front door, I watched a man walk by and sneeze on it, all ingredients sitting out.
The restaurant in general smelt like a sewer.
We started with drinks. My margarita was absolutely terrible. Honestly it tasted like dirty water with a bit of lime. My husband had an old fashioned that was “Okay.”
After reviewing the very odd menu, we decided to skip the app, which we never do and jump right into dinner.
He had a ribeye. Ordered med-rare. It came out closer to medium+. The flavor was lacking. Any chain steak house would have blown this out of the water. The sides were really nothing to speak about.
I ordered the pork mole enchiladas. They came out COLD! They had little to no taste other than a cold, sweet, brown “mole.”

We took a swing on this restaurant for our joint birthday trip. We typically have the best food all over Santa Fe. This was really upsetting to waste a dinner out on a terrible restaurant in Santa Fe. I am not sure how this place is still open. I am still upset about this meal.

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Service not so much.. Jose our server didn’t seem happy to serve us and irritated when we had questions. All the other staff were very welcoming. Jose definitely missed out on a good tip.

We had a lovely evening at Dinner for Two. The atmosphere was cozy, quiet, and perfect for conversation, creating a relaxed and intimate dining experience. The lighting was a bit dim at times, but it added to the overall ambiance.

The drinks were excellent, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The focaccia was especially delicious, and we enjoyed the crab wasabi balls, though we wished the portion had included four instead of three for easier sharing.

The menu features classic dishes. My veal piccata was flavorful (slightly salty), and while the asparagus was a bit undercooked, the overall meal was enjoyable. We also noticed a small mix-up with the truffle frites.

We finished with a key lime pie topped with what tasted like homemade whipped cream.

One thing to notice that the parking is quite difficult if it’s busy. We ended up parking in a parking lot a few blocks away because we couldn’t find any street parking.

Overall, a charming spot with great service, wonderful drinks, and a warm atmosphere.

Come here for the truly authentic Santa Fe experience. Get the Cesar salad for two. They will make it at the table. It was amazing. The cocktails are strong and authentic too.
The veal marsala was good too. It had asparagus and tomatoes and a dollop of potatoes too. The beef stroganoff was hearty too. If you have any room after the main meal, get the bananas foster. We will return here the next time we are in Santa Fe.

Catergory: Relaxed Fine Dining. This delightfully old-school Santa Fe stalwart was my birthday dinner choice this year. This is saying a lot. A restaurant must have great atmosphere, darned good food, and excellent service to be a birthday selection. We have loved this restaurant for years, and there’s even more to love now that it has an outdoor bar and outdoor shaded dining. We chose outside on our most recent visit, but it was a tough choice because we really like the elegantly casual dining room, with its hardwood floors, beamed and toungue-and-groove ceiling, original art, and cool accent lighting. There is also an indoor bar and a comfy couch for drinks before dinner (if you can snag it on a busy night). So what’s old-school about it? Caesar Salad made tableside to start your meal and traditional Bananas Foster flamed at your table to end it (offered only inside). The menu offers both old-school choices (clam chowder with a house twist — we loved it), Veal Marsala or Piccata (two of the world’s great classic dishes), Filet Oscar (which means Mignon crowned with crab), and several steaks. But the menu also offers creative choices, such Blue Crab Stacked Scottish Salmon, Truffle Mushroom Risotto, and Truffle Mushroom Soup (loved that too). You can’t go wrong with any of the mains but on this visit we chose starters for our mains: Wasabi Blue Crab Balls, Fried Pork Ribs, Mussels in Heirloom Tomato Broth, and House Made Coconut Shrimp. With these excellent choices we crafted a meal of many and varied flavors. Of course some of these dishes may change with the season but I am confident that the chef will replace them with tasty and well-prepared alternatives. From a wine perspective, we were pleased to see a few choices at $50 or less (our sweet spot for restaurant wines). YouTube’s Chef’s Apprentice

The food, drinks, and service at happy hour were all top notch. We had their signature margarita, which was perfect – not too sweet. We also tried their brown bag drink, which is a $5 mystery cocktail. Who doesn’t love a mystery? So good! Among the many food options we tried, everything was so good, but we couldn’t get enough of the wasabi blue crab balls, the beef tips w/ green chili queso, and the truffle oyster mushroom soup. We’ll be back, for sure. Next time we plan to try one of their tableside preparation dishes.
