This tiny place was an old rail car converted to be this diner. It’s rather plain on the outside, but inside is the cutest diner. The staff is super friendly and the food is seasoned well and served hot! I recommend the corned beef hash and the big link sausages!

It was a bit more pricey than i expected for an omelet coming out to nearly $20 for the meal with only three additional ingredients like jalapeños, beef gravy and bacon .. but the atmosphere is chill. Wish I got the waitresses name because she was a pretty cool local that doesn’t travel. The good news is they serve breakfast all day so you know they know breakfast.

Nice small diner with outdoor seating. Food was delicious, I had a tuna melt on grilled sourdough bread it was grilled to perfection along with fresh cut fries, my bf had a ultimate club melt that was also grill to perfection on Texas toast.
It’s worth the stop. The diner was actually an old train car back in 1946 when the diner was opened.

We just left this amazing little diner. The place is a very nice, hometown atmosphere. Very clean and friendly. My husband had a burger and batter dipped fries and I had an omelet. Both of us were very impressed and left very full. Great job ! We will be back.

I hadn’t eaten here in many years. But we both had fantastic hamburgers with excellent fresh cut fries. My wife’s was on a pretzel roll; mine on a very good Kaiser roll. I had a side salad that was very fresh. The service was superb with a friendly waitress and quick food prep. We definitely recommend Diner 22 for burgers and look forward to coming back to try other items.

We are camping at Greenhills Resort in Alexandria Pa. This was semi close for breakfast. Had to wait for about 25 minutes it was very busy, but it was 11am on Sunday Labor day weekend! Food was fantastic with generously portions and prices were reasonable. I now know why the long wait!

I recently visited Diner 22 while out on a field trip to Tyrone, PA, and had a great experience! We waited about 20 minutes to get in, just as the hostess had told us, and ended up squeezed into a small table in the back corner. The diner itself is quite small, built off the shell of an old train car, which adds to its charm, though it does mean tight spaces (one of my fellow bus drivers had a tough time fitting into the tiny bathroom).

Despite the size, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was fast, friendly, and had our food out in about 10-15 minutes. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious—well worth the wait. Overall, it was a very satisfying visit, and I’d recommend Diner 22 for anyone passing through the area!

It was very good and our server was nice. They were busy (a Sunday) with a short wait but we sat at the counter. People kept coming in but the food came out fairly fast so tables turned around nicely. Took apple pie to go and SERIOUSLY the best apple pie I’ve eaten since my Grandma’s ❣️ (and she’s been gone for 25 years) Many locals visited and every one was so pleasant! Way to be Alexandria

Diner 22 was a good stop on our trip this weekend. This quaint restaurant in an old train car was a hit with our group. The establishment itself was clean. The food was delicious and good old home cooking which we prefer. The prices were very reasonable and the waitress was friendly. I would recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.
